Let me say first, congratulations, to the GOP for roundly smashing the people of the United States.

Citizens United has made sure that the progress that has been made within the last 20 years will certainly be undone. It's obvious that the corporate oligarchy completely rules this nation.

I hope you have investments. If you do, it's going to be a great decade for you. If you live paycheck to paycheck, eh, better get a second and/or third job if you can when you can. You are going to need the extra income for when the GOP eliminates the minimum wage completely.

Poor? Trying to survive? Barely making it? I suggest visiting the Survival forums, you are probably going to need them for the next few years just to survive the onslaught of pro big business legislation that is going to come down the pipe.

Expecting Obama to veto the coming onslaught of legislation coming that will deprive you of any hope of existing in a middle class lifestyle? Think again, for one, Obama is an Oligarch, just like the rest of them, and will most likely pass most of the GOP agenda. For another, Obama will be impeached for being a Democrat president.

Expect war to escalate throughout the middle east and Asia, the GOP have wanted a full blown war against all the people of the middle east and Korea, Now they are going to get it and Obama will be to spineless and weak to fight them.

Say goodbye to the helpful parts of the ACA (Obamacare) There will be a repeal of the law, but only parts of it, probably the ones that mandate that people that have pre existing conditions will be able to be covered.

In short, expect decreases in funding across the board for the following:

Healthcare
Unemployment
Welfare
Education
Environmental protection

And increases in funding for:

The military
The Federal Prison System.
Corporate Tax Cuts
Capital Gains Tax Cuts.

With the GOP in charge, expect the president to be impeached, and ACA to be repealed. Expect to work harder for less money and to have two or three jobs just to maintain your current lifestyle. Expect more pollution, more national healthcare problems with less staff to deal with those issues.

Expect small business to die out completely within the next ten years. Everything will be chains and franchises.

America has been lost.

Maybe you can explain how that would work without a 60 seat Senate majority for repeal and a supermajority of 66 for impeachment.

I had to SnF for the thread of the day.

This will be a hoot to follow.

I have one question.

Does a political party that controls the House and Senate trump the decisions of a sitting president of another political party?

Put down the MSNBC and slowly back away from the Rachel Maddow.

Sounds like sour grapes to me... If Obama gets impeached it will be because there are laws he broke or corrupt policies he was part of not because of his skin color.

The landslide victory of the republicans for the senate IMO is to block Obama's socialist agenda and the further erosion by he and his minions of the Constitution.

Really does not matter what you or I think the election is over and the people have voted in a new batch of politicos ...

Give it time sit back and enjoy the theater for I would expect the next two years to be interesting.. and come 2016 we will have new issues to complain about, if not before.

Currently with 51 Senators, all the GOP need to do is coerce 9 Democrats to vote with them with excessive bribes and futile agreements to back lame duck democratic bills to get the job done. bribing 9 people out of 49 in this political climate with corporate backing won't be a difficult task.

Congress is solidly locked GOP. All they need to do is vote party lines for impeachment for proceedings to begin.

For the ACA to be repealed, it's basically the same statistic. Looking for those Democrats that are more interested in preserving their seat than doing what is best for the people.

Also, you left out The War On Women. By the time the Republicans are finished...lol....there won't be a female standing!

You do know that impeachment requires 66 Senators voting for removal, right? So I guess your cockamamie theory needs a few more bribes to take place.

If you think the Republicans can get 60 votes for the repeal of Obamacare I think you should give Mitch McConnell a jingle and let him know how to finagle that.

Why on earth would you guys think Obama is under threat of impeachment ?!

If previous presidents who've done a bucket load of nasty corrupt crap managed to ride out their terms, why the hell would Obama be any different ??

Wait, those evil GOP's want to end minimum wage completely so they can get away with paying people only 20¢ a day to toss grannies off cliffs?

I missed that one.

I had never once said Obama would be impeached because of skin color.

Don't reverse reverse racism card me.

No one here has brought up his skin color but you.

I said he was going to be impeached because he was a democrat president. Don't project.

The landslide victory of the republicans for the senate IMO is to block Obama's socialist agenda and the further erosion by he and his minions of the Constitution.

Please prey tell list the laws that Obama has signed into law that him and his socialist minions have passed. Can't really use the ACA because that's more of an oligarchy law and not a socialist law.

Really does not matter what you or I think the election is over and the people have voted in a new batch of politicos ...

No, really it does matter what you and I think. The reason this country is turning into an oligarchy is because people like you and I don't have enough influence in our government. You and like minded individuals should influence your Congressmen and Senators, not political lobby groups. (Trust me there's a difference)

Give it time sit back and enjoy the theater for I would expect the next two years to be interesting.. and come 2016 we will have new issues to complain about, if not before.

The next two years are going to be chaos. The next presidential election a complete cluster [swear] and after that (I predict a democratic victory for the presidency unless they run Hillary) a government run primarily by the supreme court.

People of this nation are predominately fiscal conservatives. But at the same time are socially liberal. The GOP has a branding and restructuring period to go through to balance the party to meet the needs of the voters.

The democrats have to focus their strengths to the crowds they appeal to.

Meh... the hate runs in both directions. It's a dog and pony show for entertainment purposes.

If opposition had it's way over the decades, damn near every president would have been impeached along the way, Dems and Reps alike.

Pfft.

So it was the democrat-run Senate and House that caused the collapse in 2008.

Brilliant!
