I think I can make up my own mind whether I'm "shocked" "astounded" "left in dis-belief" or if I'm "going to cry".

Just....don't do it.

yeah I get tired of that on my face book page all the time.

Seriously though, you can't really be all that surprised or agitated when the media uses sensational tiles to generate interest in their story. It happens all the time, even here on ATS.

A hallmark of sites that post stupid slideshows and videos to get traffic so they can get paid for ad impressions. You see how many ads they cram on those sites?

I have been suckered a couple times, but I don't click on them. I am shocked and amazed that people do.

Thank you for making an ATS post on this... I've probably been meaning to.

I've literally been posting in all of these alleged 'SHOCKER's comments that - 'Im not going to click on your link SOLELY for the fact that your title is likely misleading and the only reason you don't expose any actual information in your title is to get more clicks'.

If they stop getting clicks for 'SHOCKER's, hopefully they'll just be more forward.

Let's hope.

Fact: I'm more likely to click on a link if it tells me what it is. Not if it guarantees will "Leave me in tears!!" or "Surprise Me!"

and the thing is...with one exception, I have literally never been shocked by these videos...

Sometimes I click on them out of curiosity but they all seem to be in slideshow format now so they can get you to load as many ads as possible and I give up straight away because it takes forever, my pc can't handle it. Who the hell has time to go through 40 slides to find out what a few kid celebs look like now....and not once ever feel shocked.
