There you go.

At a time of uncertainty, crisis, and rampant chaos such as this, there's only one rational response.

Toga party.

While I disagree that a minimum wage is even a necessity, at least this was done appropriately at the state level and not at the federal level.

And this will accelerate the problem.

Exactly right. There will be a lot of angry dem operatives whose voter fraud efforts did not overcome the voice of the people.

Well at least it was the people, and not the candidates doing the fraudulent voting.....for a change.

i think San francisco got their 15 mini wage ....some how i dont think it will lead to cheaper rents in the area and all that gentrification they like to complain about as with wages going up landlords can raise prices in rent (its some times tied to minimum wage) so in sf it may do more harm then good with their housing crisis

Voting republican is voting for "satanist values"? I have heard it all now...

at least those "satanists" as you call them, haven't lost their constitutional values - which is more than I can say for some!

Liberal policies won the night while the GOP won as well.

It sort of reflects what I hear from a lot of 'moderate' voters. They're liberal on social issues but conservative on economic issues. That and the president's party has, almost, always had bad results in their 6th year. So far as I can tell, Libertarians picked up a lot of votes across the board.

Unfortunately, voter turnout was less than 50%. When more people vote, Democrats win.

San Francisco is the perfect poster child for an unchallenged progressive socialist agenda. Under Obama the SF middle class went from being an endangered species to completely extinct.

sorry, but this isn't about getting paid "more". Its about catching up to what we were paid....about 4 years ago. Our minimum wage is still only 30% of what it was 40 years ago. You guys just don't get it. When minimum wage does not go up with inflation what you get is businesses getting the same work for less pay. I don't understand how you guys think its fair that a minimum wage worker from 40 years ago who got the equivalent of 20 an hour in todays dollars only deserves 1/3 of that now. Meanwhile the pay for the top 1% has increased astronomically. Why should one groups pay be decreasing, while the others is increasing at a much faster rate, for the same jobs over 40 years? Stagnant wages for the poor while cost of living continually rises is inhumane exploitation. But for some reason you think it is fair to criticize the poor working class when they demand more money, but not the wealthy who just legislate it for themselves? I fail to see the logic.

While I love the color red, because it looks great on my skin tone, red is the color of death, also the color of blood, spilled blood.

While blue has always been rewarded as the color of royalty and indiference.

Red, as you said, is the color of spilled blood;

The blood of patriots who dared leave England and start a nation of their own

The blood of abolitionists who said "Slavery will be NO MORE"

and

The blood of Civil Rights advocates to ensure equality for all.

Yes, I am PROUD to be in blood of patriots. Ooh-Rah

Minimum wage jobs are not careers. It used to be that high school kids filled most of the minimum wage jobs. These jobs typically don't require any significant skills beyond the ability to show up on time and do what you're told.

The are not meant to be jobs that you raise a family on.

Periodically the states and feds need to visit the minimum wage pay rates just to make sure that they are within reason.

I don't think that $15 per hour is reasonable for a minimum wage in this economic climate.
