You live by the beach still are there still pill farms going on there with fly by night pain management clinics?

Years ago I moved away from the beach because it seemed like everyone was getting hooked on that crap. I used to see cars from Kentucky and Georgia going down A1A and I just knew that was where they were going.

I know it was brought to national attention but I don't know if there a stop to it.

I have only ever voted once. I jokingly put Ralph Nader in the blank space for Presidential candidates. Lately I've been rethinking my reasons for not voting. I'm sincerely disappointed in my lack of interest/trust in the system today. Anyway, crossing my fingers we here in Oregon legalize it for recreational use.

Not sure what happened, up until about two weeks ago it was polling quite well. I want to congratulate John Stemberger from the Florida Family Policy Council and Grady Judd, the Sheriff of Polk Country and President of a state wide Sheriff's Associate for their work to help defeating the bill.

Four more year of the Florida Sheriff's being able to raide homes with a military team over a plant that some people self medicate, confiscating property and sending people to prison!

I am actually more alarmed that Rick Scott looks like he will be governor again(close but not yet official). 47% of the state either turns a blind eye to his ConMan ways or just simply do not care.

Money in politics ruined democracy.

The Pill Mills have more or less been shut down, the same goes for all the K2 and 'smokable' incense that was appearing in convenient stores. That is some good that the vice ops have done.

I do find it a bit insane that Grady Judd, one of the biggest cheerleaders against the amendment is the sheriff of one of the most Meth and Pill infected places in the country. He has not been able to clean up his home county, but he will actively campaign to keep make sure cannabis is illegal for those who could benefit from it medically.

It does feel hopeless.

Yeah they hit the nail on the head there. Like I said there has been a lot of propaganda couple that with the blue hair population that have a huge turnout at the polls and the amendment dies.

Currently we have 95% reporting in and we are not even at 58% in favor. I don't think its going to pass we only need 2.47% more to reach 60%. I am a bit pissed at this point wish I had something for that.

The pill mills were horrible a couple good friends I wound up walking away from because they were straight up addicted. I have only known one person who messed with that K2 stuff and from what heard him talk about and the the way he acted there was no way I was touching it. I saw it as no better than crack. I have walked away from a lot of people in life because of drugs where I just wasn't going to be part of that world.

I am not prudish about elebriation or anything but there is a point where that crap will ruin lives.

The Venetian Casino owner and billionaire dumped millions into the campaign against amendment 2.

This was circulating around the Facebook and emails of Florida voters and it seemed to be quite influential, written by John Stemberger:

That bastard. Just more BS propaganda and lies.

So do you have any idea how long it will be till we can get another vote on this thing? By that time I may have already moved out of the country because I am sure we are talking years.

Truly.

I actually went out to vote today. I was more concerned about getting Rick Scott out of office than this bill.

It does not really matter who votes, what really matters is who counts the votes.

Remember what happened in 2000 here in Florida?

Yeah I remember. That year I voted for Nader because I stood on my principles Florida was the deciding factor for Bush and man I came to regret those principles once I was called up to fight a war in the wrong damn country. I was going WTF Iraq didn't attack us. I did buy into some of the propaganda hype but when I found myself guarding an oil well out in the middle of BFE I realized what we were actually fighting for.

On the subject of the governor seat this election I was reminded of my choice back in 2000 so while I don't really think Crist is exceptional and do favor Wyllie in the libertarian party I knew he didn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning against Scott so I sucked it up and bit and gnashed my teeth to cast my vote for someone who did though it looks like he will lose by a point or two as well. I really can't stand scott or his judicial appointees but they are all staying as well. The only thing I can take solace in is that amendment 3 is voted down which would have given him more power in his office over judicial appointments.

I still have my mailed sample ballot which I researched and took with me to vote and I just looked to see how many things, people, or issues I voted for passed. It seems the rest of the state agreed with me on 4 things. That would be two judges the district school board member and amendment 3.

So for those who complain about the state I am just going to say "don't blame me I voted for the other guy".
