Eh what's the point? People talk about facts but how can we have facts when facts that go against America aren't allowed? Remember Gary Webb? The CIA destroyed him for his journalism.

So lets get this right that if your economy is crashing then you up interest rates but if its doing fine then you keep them near zero ?

Base rates have little to do with anything since banks set the spread between saving rates and loan rates and the spread for people in the streets has never be so high as it is now in the west.

Putting up the price of cheap money that only gets lent to brokers to gamble in the casino is a good move by Putin if the players all start to gamble/invest the money abroad so he might be trying to save them from themselves.

"Just a quick update on the Russian economy and the impact sanctions are having"

You seem to forget the impact of these American imposed sanctions are having on the west and many farmers in Europe are protesting as good go to waste but then again Hitler was so blinded that he told the Germans that his military could take over Russia in a mere six weeks before Russia handed him his arse on a plate.

These sanctions the USA is trying to force on the world have only been adopted by the usual puppet nations and does not as they keep tilling you mean the "International community" at large and getting OPEC to force down oil prices is hurting the USA just as much as Russia so take them glasses off and see the world for what it is.

I don't think it is the sanctions hitting the Russian economy

it is the deliberate Deflating of the Oil/Gas/Energy prices

the USA & OPEC are doing a financial attack against the Russian stranglehold in providing the EU with natural gas/oil

the USA itself is trying to knock out the 'Shale' oil with fracking...to force these smaller wildcat operations into being merged into the EXXON-Mobiles of the world...the forced price rollbacks are a good-thing for the vulture capitalists , NWO puppet masters
and it helps to kick the crutches from under Russia & Putin at the same time.... a win-win to lose profits for the short term
& capitalize more profits in the future

NOW That is seeing the world for what it is

You need to learn the difference between facts and allegations. You just made allegations. Allegations are easy to make. You need to prove something for it to be a fact. For example, food inflation is now at 11.5% in Russia, the highest since the fires damaged crops. That is a fact.

The US government being involved in 9/11 is a fact unless a man in a cave can change the laws of physics from the other side of the world.

Yes I know, you do it all the time like going along with this invisible Russian invasion that happens every few weeks and the reason food inflation might be so high is because Russia banned imports from the west and that comes after they banned the GMO crap we get to eat thats feed to us by the USA.

St Udio

You could well be right but I can see things turning nasty if they keep on down the road of fracking and I can see all the equipment getting set alight and roads blocked. People are just not going to allow fracking to happen.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine started the moment Russian troops with no insignias deployed to the Crimean countryside while securing bases and government buildings.

Its an armed invasion because it occurred BEFORE the illegal Crimean vote.

Here is your evidence from Putin himself.
Putin acknowledges Russian military serviceman were in Crimea

your correct, the public across American communities are greatly distressed in the assault on their quality-of-living issues with the noise/smell/lights/traffic these nearby Fracking operations create... and are taking action !
communities are putting their pleasant community standards of living and pollutions of the groundwater
above the PROFITS/jobs which Fracking creates

here are a few recent examples:

but that's not the point of the thread...
the focus here would be the OPEC USA (big dogs) deliberately bringing down the price of oil
so as to create a financial loss of revenue to Russia as the major supplier of Energy to the EU...[some would consider this an act of aggression in the assymetric war going on between E & W]

just like the unseen manipulators of Gold-Silver-PM Futures are collapsing the metals below the cost of production to cause the mainstream investors to turn to the USD as the only Strong currency/commodity in the global markets

depressing oil prices will force out many shoe-string budget producers out-of-business on proven fields...
low hanging fruit for the big oil producers who can weather a year of depressed prices & gobble up those valuable
Lots- Sections-Areas of proven reserves

Ireland had protests because they wanted to privatise the water supply and TPTB should had took over all the water supply systems before they let out the plane about fracking to poison the water table.

This was a mistake else we would had been told not to worry if we burp and our gobs blow up as the methane explodes from the drinking water.

Poison the water table and the cost of a glass of water sold at your local super market will cost as much as a pint of oil and this is the long term plan.

They say Hitler was bad but he's got nothing on the criminals calling the shots these days and yes we will see riots if they try to push ahead with these plans and a good job too.

Provate it

Prove it you say!

Well building do not fall at very close to free fail speed and also generate so much air pressure internal to the building that the pressure blow out windows ten floors below the main collapse.

A cushion of air if the building was built so weak would slow down the speed of the collapse but the official story book wants to have its cake and eat it.

Sorry I cannot teach you physics on a forum site because it would take far to long and that's without your hearing disability.

Why would OPEC want to depress the price of oil? Wouldn't that hurt their profits as well? By the way, why didn't Russia join OPEC? Were they planning on using their independence for political advantage? Looks like it backfired.

Completely off topic, but do you have any idea what the atmospheric pressure of a column of concrete, steel and air is? How much resistance would a pane of glass have to that pressure? All of the "arguments from physics" in the 9/11 conspiracies hinge on an extremely naïve understanding of physics, bordering on the cartoonish. The towers didn't topple over like dominoes, they collapsed straight down, like a building brought down by controlled demolition, therefore it was controlled demolition. Why don't we wait until some Chechens crash a plane into the Mercury City Tower so we have something to compare it to...?

Depressing the price of oil will counter the fracking influx. By reducing the price of oil it places pressure on the fracking industry. It allows oil to compete with the fracking, eventually hit a point where it would no longer be profitable to continue fracking since oil from other sources would be cheaper and have a higher profit margin.

Its pretty similar to Russian oil. The price of oil must remain at or above a certain level in order to profit from it. When the price hits a point that does not cover the cost of extraction / processing then the companies operating those companies find themselves running a business with negative income.

You guys are the ones who claimed Russian and its oil were invincible.. You guys are the ones who claimed Putin would drag the Us down economically.

hows that working out for you?

maybe Putin should fix the price of oil from his end and increase the price of it... Or is it just Russia that has a right to affect world prices with their resources?

You guys need to decide what you want to bitch about and stick to it.

It's simple:it is okay for Putin to do whatever he wants, but anything anyone else does is a crime against humanity.

I don't see how myself or any of the people you lumped into one group are bitching.

It's cool. As someone said earlier in the thread only time will tell. Europe and America are both falling apart without any outside interference. Russia is definitely hurting economically but unlike the West, Russia is not utterly reliant on the global trade system for survival. They are a society well used to enduring hardship, tightening they belts, and sacrificing for their motherland. They are also wildly supportive of Putin. They are in this for the long haul. I doubt these economic sanctions will collapse Russia.

If this were true Russia would not be hurting economically. The rouble would not be in free fall with the Kremlin free floating the currency a year ahead of schedule. Inflation would not be near double digits and russians would not be converting their rubles into US dollars, Canadian dollars and Euros. The price of food would not have shot through the roof. The russian economy would not be contracting back into recession territory and the Russian finance ministry would not be talking about cutting back on programs that they can no longer afford.

Well Russia was trying to support the rubble until yesterday but the market makers knew this so kept pulling money out just as fast as the Kremlin was pumping money in and getting a free ride in the process.

Russia says it has cut the rubble free to find its own balance in the market and were reporting yesterday that it was rising

On the path of rags to riches you will always get bumps in the road but the Russian markets are also celebrating another massive gas deal with China so I would not quite count Russia out yet.

But how long are they willing to do this for the sake of one man's vanity? In 1917 they proved that there are limits to their willingness to endure hardship.

I agree... but starved people do interesting things historically.

We will see what happens.

My thoughts exactly. This 'economic warfare' can turn ugly, quick, especially if the Russian media grabs and shakes the notion of western intrusion like a nasty rag.

It could get ugly, quickly.
