Since I have memory, this is the first time they (russians) break sovereign airspace in my country. They are far far away from their homeland. This is unusual news here.

You have to think of Russia as a puffer fish. It is blowing itself up to look much more scary than it is. With its economy in the tank and the idea of an actual military confrontation with NATO suicide, Russia is stuck in face saving mode. Short they hope it makes NATO members question thier commitment to santions which along with oil prices is making Russia a very sad panda. Long term it just makes NATO stronger and drives Finland and Sweden even closer to the safety of NATO. Of course right now long term planning is not something Russia can afford to worry about.

all kidding aside... I don't think I will have to check in with ATS for the latest on this, as I live pretty close to NYC. If it's gonna happen, I will probably 'know about it'.

Actually, I believe that Jesus will snatch His true followers out- right before everything goes down. He's good like that.

Im not sure what year but 2006 to 2008 or so one of my windows shattered because of fighter jets breaking the sound barrier pretty close to my house to intercept a Russian bomber, refuelling plane and two migs. I remember clearly because i jumped up while i was relaxing on a Sunday while lazy waking up. I had to get glass out of my hair and bed. So far for my lazy Sunday in bed. Lol since then every report of interceptions I always think of that, because that were pretty good times with my late wife just before our kid was born. So northern Europe, Scandinavia, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, UK experienced that a lot of times..

Im just saying Russians always poke a bear.

And yeah then, way before Ukraine and stuff it was about testing NATO defences.. Wasn't that the time of the rocketshields the US wanted in eastern Europe? Can't remember

the next war may be fought in the arctic, seeing that Russia is putting a claim in for it, I suppose its one area of the world we haven't sucked dry yet. I think the west is slow off the mark with this one, I would have thought they would have stuck a claim in for a few hectares!

The eve of destruction is upon us ? hmmm something is going on definitely, I think there are some back channel activities along the diplomatic but not so friendly course which are causing this raucous, I think they involve Britain, the U.S. and Russia over the control Russia has by virtue of controlling the energy supply to Europe.

They could quite literally cut them off.

Yeah best to do so with a red hot poker, makes the bear think twice, you know they would never have won except we supplyed them with arms, vehicles, plane's amunition and even food and fuel via the north atlantic convoys, at the start of WW2 remember they were Nazi Germanys allies with a non agression pact and had both invaded poland together (something the russians had tried without success for hundreds of years getting beat every time by the polish army).
They are not invincible and will fall very easy indeed, but Yemantu well we need to beg the states to drop a few titanium orbital darts they have up there to smash Yemantu.

I strongly suspect that that will indeed cause "war". If he won't voluntarily give us our gas that's under his ground, Europe WILL just go get it. That's way it's always been. Now IF, when we get there and turn the taps on, no gas comes out 'cause it's all empty - well that WILL be a problem, methinks.

IMO it is just cheap for us all. Its like having war games with allies without all the cost of organization and administration. They check their flights, we our response times without a lot of hassle. Of course the MSM and sidestreammedia jumps up on it to provide a daily dose of doomporn. But once you know where they stick there thingy it is all the same.

Don't get me wrong history is history reported by the so called winners, i like Russians, their Vodka and car crashes, i like the USA with their bourbon and we-are-so-much-freedom-we-bomb-others-to-impose-our-supposed-freedom-but-meanwhile-we-screw-ourselves, I like europeans with their just saying yes to their so-called friends but complaining about their sovereignty.. But in 2020 the mass will still be electing their top model/idol/designer/cook/celebrity and we still all gonna die that year due to politics/religion/disease/natural events.

Yeah the truth is we in the west are in a propeganda media driven society that spans from america to europe, the same thing though is true of russia and if we were looking through there eyes well of course we would be gunning for them.
Still I think we need a new set of government's and a new system to kick the small dicked rich guy's out of our government's once and for all and restore our own democracy, but of course we can not do that with outside aggression so is it engineered to take our mind's off the real problems with our own leaders and there corrupt party's.

If it were for real war situation, with 24x nukes on TUs in different corners of Europe, by now the war in Europe would have ended. I hope it never happens in reality. Of course there is US standing strong and the possibility of retaliation on Russian territory. But make no mistake, those cruise missiles in the old Bears are made with the intention to deliver first Surprising strike from short distance it cannot be repelled. (combined with subs and the rest of stuff). Of course the books of cold war posted online, would say the first strike should come from subs preceded by orbital EMP. But that is to reach the other continent. Europe is so close to Russia. It could be reached by Bears' cruise missiles even f fired from Russian territory. Or by Iskanders.

A message of Putin to the entire European continent including Turkey. Why now, I don't know. What is the wider goal, I don't know. Hope it is not to destroy Rome, London and Paris in a single strike. Then what?
