I'm a tar and feather's type of person
does that count for anything?
a few guillotines would be nice to have around also.
heck maybe we could even rent them out occasionally to protest groups for them to use as props..
can you imagine the politicians' faces when they see a line of guillotines heading to the capitol building along with a mass of people??

regardless I agree with the op
the rich haven't thought this through too well I think
the hungry peasant might beg borrow or steal his food and other basic necessities but the businessman will not see a profit unless the peasant has some cash to buy it!

What do you classify as "rich"?

I really had to think about that for a while.
Good question.

Rich is when the law works for your benefit instead of against you.
Rich is when you can have or do whatever you want (legal or otherwise) whenever you want.
Rich is when recession or depression means you'll make even more money.

Who writes the laws that allows that?

Not the wealthy. It is the politicians.

I've had many discussions about this when OWS was in play.

I blame the politicians.
They blamed the wealthy.

The wealthy take advantage of the laws that politicians write.
Politicians take advantage of the wealth that is brought to them.

We'll never get rid of the "rich". Pitchforks and torches only change the names on the accounts. They don't eliminate the rich.

What we can do, is bring about a political climate where politicians actually have morals, ethics and values.

If they don't, then we will have to hold them accountable.

But storming the Bastille, will never eliminate the wealthy. It'll be just another group that has the money.

There are a good many folks sharpening the pitch fork that don't blame "trickle down". They are blaming the redistribution of wealth wizards for their wows.

Folks hate "trickle down" because it suggests you may have to get a bucket. They just want to lay their with their mouth open under the spicket with their blanky and teddy bear.

Here at the National Guillotine Party we have a simple saying, "It worked in France."

Show me a real politician that is not rich...Idont mean a local mayor in some po dunk town. I mean in DC that actually decides and rigs things, not one of them is not what most common people would call rich. They are the company owners, they are the ones that decide. We are the ones that do the work and have to do as they say not as they do.

I have been watching a documentary for a while now as its quite long about the Roosevelts. Things were so bad around this time that 1 in 3 did not have a job. People were pissed and were on the verge of burning the whole thing down. Just about every leader at that time was shot at...People lost everything and those with means scooped it up for pennies. This time is approaching again, but now people are even more heavily armed and can see how things are going to go if they dont react in a totally different manor.

It's astounding how many folks cannot understand that helping everyone helps themselves, too.

The system of us vs them ... which is largely based on proximity rather than merit, won't stand.

It IS bad, again, in the Western world... and it's getting worse.

Something has to give... literally.

For some reason? It's because they've been brainwashed/indoctrinated. "Socialism" is evil even though people don't even know what socialism actually is.

You realize that modern humanity basically owes it's success to socialist/collective ideology right?

Public Transit is socialist.
The creation of the rail roads were socialist.
ALL major infrastructure projects created in the last 200 years were socialist.

Social Security
Medicare
Medic-Aide

Public School

And basically anything that uses taxpayer money to operate is a form of socialism.

America is failing, precisely because it refuses to adopt any kind of system other than hardline capitalism, unless of course, those capitalists need a bail out.

Oh yeah, and that was socialist too.

~Tenth

If the USA was hard line capitalist then they would likely be doing well like Hong kong or Singapore that are also hard line capitalist.

USA can't decide what it is, that's the problem. It's a bastardised mess that resulted in corporatetism if that's even a word!

I'd call it corporate fascism

Your government is not run by the people for the people, it's run by corporations for cooperations.

And that's what they want. Devision, keep the masses divided hell maybe a few of us dumb sheep may side with the banks and mega corps and fight for them. Is that what you will do take your sharpend pitch fork and help guard a bank?

Well don't think the redistributors are going to get a break. Why should I take the pitchfork to the banks and spare the socialists azzes? They are the bankers biggest buddies ever. redistribution is a modern banking idea.

And who are these socialists? As i said USA is neither socialist or Capitalist. Its a bastardised mess that has resulted in a government brought and paid for by certain banks and mega corps.

All you are doing is playing into there divide and conquer plans.

What people need to do is:
1) find out what politicians lie the most.
2) Find out which ones are brought and paid by corporations and banks.
3)Find out what banks and corporations have bribed and lobbied
4) Erect guillotines on capital hill and in times square
5) then once you have taken out the trash decide if the USA wants to be a real capitalist state like singapore, A real socialist state like Norway or too let individual stated choose for themselves.
6) Once a method has been chosen agree on a system that will weed out and brutally crack down on ANY politician, business or entity that that involves itself with political corruption with harsh penalty's for politicians who are caught lying.
