This thread is getting away from the irony of the fact that an official within a communist country should be exposing this kind of attitude. Even if it is "one country, two systems".
OK, communism was always about "elite governing for supposed benefit of poor" rather than "poor governing themselves", but they weren't supposed to give it away quite so bluntly.

People don't care much because it's not an anti-US or anti-Israel thread. And they more or less flat out stated what they meant so not much debate about their meaning can happen.

well... the next step is make the poor ineligible to vote some how. I know, lets do what they do in the US but modify it bit.

Lets make up some ineligible to vote criteria such as HHHmmmm I know, payment of a hefty enrollment fee, proof of property ownership, minimum annual income. How about making a rule that those in receipt of welfare, for individuals that is, cant vote. There that should do it.

Perhaps if we dare, we might even bring in welfare receiving corporations and let them vote.
