If you haven't read the Hot Zone, I highly recommend it. The last chapter he goes there to Kitum cave and explores it.

Surely a Halloween story of the viral kind.

slightly wrong. It can be anywhere from 20-95% with Marburg.

Right now as 2014 is about the same as ebola with a testing vaccine called AVI-7288 that has proven successful on infected primates up 100%.
