Yeah, he denies that he ever said that about minority neighborhoods. And the original quote was about "certain sections of town--areas notorious for drug use", not "minority neighborhoods". But he was tough on drugs, especially MJ, thinking if you "caught it early" you could prevent heavier drug use. A lot of people used to (and still do) think that. The old "gateway drug" fallacy.

Though he denies ever saying it, there are those who attest that Perot once told a Dallas meeting that there would be no way to solve the problem unless you cordoned off certain sections of town--areas notorious for drug use-- and went house to house rooting our violators.

He did support women and other minorities, gays, etc.

He wasn't perfect, by far, but I thought he was the best choice at the time. It would have been interesting, for sure...

I haven't finished the hole thing yet, but Perot said one thing that is true "republican's and Democrat's are thought from birth to fight each other"
