first of all those people who are denigrating preppers as mad max etc who believe "it'll never happen"....you are sheeple and why are you on the survival section? so you can just be a troll? go somewhere else where people give a # what you think. secondly I agree with all those others that think "groups" are not workable in a SHTF situation, unless you have set up a working and functioning group PRIOR to the event that might work, but join a group of complete strangers or at best maybe some of your old neighbours-your more likely to get a knife in your ribs in the middle of the night and all your gear stolen. I have had some good friends over the years, but they aren't preppers and they all live in a city(the same one I got out of 15 years ago) and the chances of them making it here post SHTF are very slim to non existent.

Enjoy your 'survival' in a world that's even worse than it is now.

I'll live until I'm ready to die. And I won't have the deaths of innocent people on my conscience, though it sounds like you don't even have one.

Actually I was in my own unique way, expressing incredulousness that anyone such as yourself could have any friends.

So, yes. Joking.

a reply to: corvuscorrax whether a "post collapse" world is worse than now is a matter of opinion, I don't think it will be worse or better but it will be DIFFERENT. I don't agree people are "innocent" anyone who dosent prepare is not my problem, my DUTY is to my wife not to some complete stranger who cant be bothered.

Your view will change, in this life or the next methinks.

Hopefully your wife is more compassionate than you are.

Well you two are perfect for each other! I guess the question is which one turns on the other first for not being 'prepared' enough. Reminds me of a saying.

Love of self perverted into contempt and hatred for one's neighbor.

Spouses and kids are off limits. Let's let bigpaul get it off his chest. He just got here. Once he figures out no one here is interested in forming a raiding party to grab his dried beans, he could be a good participant.

I'm not exactly a newbie at this, I've been around for a few years, there is at least one name I recognize from somewhere else.

We must rise above that which we find disagreeable in others.

Be the change, broferd.

And you're a prepper psychopath who would probably pop a boner at the thought of killing your neighbor if he asked for food.

It's not hard to toss insults around. People on this site man... Like arguing with children.

He implied I should rise above what I find disagreeable in you. I already find what you advocate deplorable and was hoping to make you see it.

I suppose in his mind rising above something is ignoring it?
