What the heck is going on in Canada???
Terrorist acts, Random acts of violence believed by some.
Is anything going on in the world random, at all anymore, if it ever was?
I used to believe in randomness....but sadly, not anymore.

I'd also like to add that the recent new is that the White House sent a 'spokesman' to comment, and I head that.. I was initially insulted by his words but...
I have concluded: 1. this is NOT Canada's version of 9/11 so don't argue that ridiculous point.
2. for the PM to give this immediate attention IS a bad idea.
3. a comment from President Obama would also be inappropriate given the timeframe/location.
4. troops from here and there (and possibly mixed) are already on alert, don't think they aren't.
5. public news feed/reports(after hour 2) should have been cut off - don't feed the animal ((sorry)).
and many more.
CBS is reporting Zehaf-Bibeau was born Michael Joseph Hall, and occasionally dropped the name Michael and went by the name Abdul Zehar Bibeau — and at other times he would drop the Abdul. He was apparently a recent convert to Islam — and reports suggest he was considered a high-risk traveler and had his passport revoked.

What we know
— Zehaf-Bibeau's name shows up three times in the Canadian criminal database, including two arrests ten years ago for possession of, respectively, marijuana and PCP. He failed to arrive to a court date in 2006 for marijuana charges, but pled guilty over three years later. All of these arrests were in Montreal. Assuming there aren't any other 32 year old Canadians named Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, it's probably him.
What we don't know
— Whether this tweet, sent by an account that claims to be affiliated with ISIS and purports to show "the Ottawa gunman," is a picture of Zehaf-Bibeau or in any other way legitimate:
— Two US officials told Reuters that he was a convert to Islam, but there's no public evidence to that effect nor any indication that the shooting was related to his faith.

Earlier this month, NBC News reported that the Canadian government was monitoring "hundreds of people" that it suspected could be planning to join ISIS.
