White owl perched in an old oak tree
A stranger rests on bended knee
Articulating words by sight
My somber dream of life's twilight

Whispering through angelic eyes
Revealing my life's last sunrise
Farewells exchanged, though not so-longs
Entombed in sleep until Sol's dawn

Seasons of sickness take their toll
Frail body drains my agile soul
Reflections of a haunting dream
The time is nigh, I hear deaths scream

Machines shrieking at each other
Withering wails of my mother
Black and silence overpower
Angel gifts to me deaths flower

I'm drenched in overwhelming peace
To know life after deaths release
Spirit says softly "return to earth"
As sparks of life engulf my hearth

Those moments in the cosmic clock
The time spend on deaths spirit walk
A thread embroidered to our source
This life's forever altered course

What a great piece JennyFrenzy, I really dug it on multiple levels. Its cool to see the writers coming out a little more. Before I took my ATS break this forum was slow-ish but for a few fairly consistent posters. I'm thinking of hammering something out for the spook fest but we'll see...

Who is your publisher, because that really needs to be out there someday if its not already. When the time comes and you submit it I really hope that it is.

Look into amazon..

its the easiest way to self publish

I am pretty sure you can take a lot of your poetry and put together a solid book

I had to tell you. An owl flew right down in front of our car on halloween night. I didn't catch the color of owl cause it was so dark out.. But it was pretty radical to me
