Stasis tests...
The first human to be in stasis for
2 years have returned...
In order to make stellar travel possible
you need to have the basics...
Step two is the ship.

Haha! That's using your imagination!

That'd be pretty cool ... but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Meh -- I would think the "first" human stasis research would be done with humans on Earth, in a controlled environment. Doing that is space would be several steps later.

I thought the big feature of the B-37 was the ability to vector into unknown orbits and positions. I'm sure a simple zero-g mfg lab could simply be attached the the ISS and still be confidential in nature. No need for the B-37 to do lab science.

It's not a B-37, it's the X-37B. X craft are research craft.

Big enough to carry cargo - 'to and fro’. 2 years? Enough time to perform a supply run to Mars base!

Was just thinking it takes about 2 yrs to do one of their Mars runs ... Hmmm

meh dreaming within a dream... I am guessing nothing useful came abound.. Or we would have heard about it by now..

No matter how you look at it, man was not designed to live in space....

We weren't designed to fly or travel over or under the water either but through technology have made it a reality!
Are you Amish?

Why do people think its somehow cheaper to do these missions than build a vacuum manufacturing facility, whatever they are testing they are testing for zero g, high radiation, extreme temps and debris exposure.

Yes ball bearings form perfectly in space but its much cheaper to build a better ball bearing manufacturing machine than launch and retrieve them from orbit.

It's not the vacuum that lets them form better, it's the reduced gravity. The vacuum keeps dirt and dust off.

You can't replicate LEO in a lab on earth. As Zaph said, it's the zero or near zero-g. The, you also have the temperature changes and radiation levels as well.

Perhaps they went up to retrieve and experiment on the Black Knight satellite amongst other unknown orbitals?

They're poncing around the ship with Geiger counters, as much as I'd like to believe it's just a precaution from any exotic matter on it's hull it's no doubt for whatever they've brought back down.

Not necessarily. It might be for something they took up with them.

I don't think they were doing spy missions, they have drones for that. Possibly testing a new form of propulsion or doing experiments in space.

Loud and bright.

Not a good way to stay secret.

It was dark, likely very fast and unannounced so not many people would know what they were seeing as Kevinp2300 has pointed out for us. Lockheed has sent up secret planes at night before at not so secret facilities in California. Where they landed is a very secrete place.
