Am I right?

What's the matter, you didn't understand me? That's because language matters. Using words by their proper definition matters. You can't (well, you can but it kinda makes you an idiot) just turn one single word that has no negative or positive connotation and give it one. In your (sadly plural) case you've taken the word progressive and turned it into an adjective that describes everything political you happen to think is bad and it is absolute intellectual sloth.

Bush nor Obama are Progressive. Obama has a few progressive policies and talking points but he's a war-hawk and very much pro- Wall Street, catapulting him rightward, firmly away from Progressive.

I suggest (I know you won't) reading up on the history of all ideologies and then you can properly and intelligently disagree with anyone as opposed to continuing talking from your overly-reactive ass.

You can't put up a very good fight if you don't know who you're fighting against.

I don't see progressives starting wars. I don't see progressives robbing the country blind.

Go ahead and watch the progressives. I'll keep my eye on the fascists in DC.

If the progressives are anti war then where are the protestors? I find it interestingly shallow that protesters were in the streets, hanging Bush, burning flags, etc. etc. Now with a democratic president that has torture, drone killings of children, unlawful detentions (Rendition), etc. etc. under his belt..... it's crickets. Go figure, and why is the media not asking why?

Well, there aren't many progressives out there to begin with. But there are many people that support leftist causes that have been vocal about Obama not stopping the wars. Those that aren't vocal, are hypocrites.

As far as the media.....who cares? They are biased and sell out to their respective ideologies.

Precisely why the "Ra ra, go team go" political mentality of the average American is so full of #.

When you choose to make the MSM your source of information, you are spoon fed skewed information to be pushed in the direction of their ideology. Unfortunately they lack the desire to seek additional information/news as you and I have as well as others here at ATS. It the real definition of a mind numb robot, my mom thinks everything she hears on ABC is the gospel. This information delivery system has to be dismantled, and with time the internet hopefully will do it.

You change the definitions of terms to fit your agenda.

You change your definition of terms to suit your needs and to fit them into your ideology.

You can call a can of soup a n automobile, but I can't see you driving it.

Putting a happy-face on ideologies that damage society may fool some, but not forever.

It hasn't been socialist, liberal, communist, progressive or conservative ideologies that damaged this country. It was the money-hungry, war-mongering neoconservative fascists that pushed this country to where it is today.....and you can fool some, but not all of us.

We know the score here.

So quit trying to cover this up with a happy face and call a spade a spade.

Bad news if you're gay, a minority, a woman or an environmentalist or an athiest or not a christian or a muslim or ....blah. Maybe they'll mean it when they say smaller government, more freedom and less taxes? I doubt that though.

He has totally misrepresented himself to the public, this makes him a liar and a hypocrite. If it wasn't for video tape he would say he never said anything to falsify the record. Politicians are liars, it's their stock and trade promise everything and once in office deliver nothing. Insert whatever adjective you like for monumental but he has been the most impressive liar I have seen with a list of scandals second to none. Progressive, conservative, right, left, up, down, a liar is a liar.

You have to ask yourself if Congress controls the purse strings how did Obama double the national debt in 6 years. There are many times I think the difference between republicans and democrats is the spelling.

Yeah, I think too often we blame the presidents, Bush and Obama, and give congress a free pass. We shouldn't congress has a lot of power.

I don't often agree with you but here I do. 99.99% of politicians are liars that don't represent ANY ideology. Bush was no more Conservative than Obama is Progressive. It really is completely, either illogical, dishonest, or flat out fricking lazy to continually use an ideological label to describe why you disagree with a policy, law, judge or politician with few exceptions such as pro-life or pro-choice.

Then how do you define yourself?

What is your ideological foundation?

In order to define myself, I don't need to change anything to fit me... I'm able to look at many different labels and recognize things I identify with, but I go with the closest fit to define myself to others, Anarchist. I don't need to change what Anarchism is to do that, I can simply say that I am an Anarchist or that I mostly identify with Anarchism. I can elaborate or not.

Conversely I don't need to warp any ideologies that I don't like either, I don't agree with Conservatism except for a few things here and there but if I see a Conservative being a Fascist, I don't turn around and redefine Conservatism as Fascism, I redefine the person as a Fascist.

It's pretty simple.

Klain didn't "approve" any deal.

At best he "approved" an Obama visit to the Solyndra facility in 2012.

And even that would be stretching the facts.

What (by your definition) is a;
Progressive
Neo-conservative fascist
Liberal
Conservative

Regards,

Progressives are those that believe the government should be able to look towards the future and pay attention to those things that will make the society stronger. That would include a good education system for it's people and protection of the country's environment.

Liberals are people that believe that we should work on equality issues, protect our constitutional freedoms and that perhaps the government, if properly organised, can provide some necessary needs to the people such as a better healthcare system.

Conservatives believe in individual liberties, self-reliance, lower taxes and less government intrusion. They also believe in adherence to the constitution.

As you can see, there are some distinct differences between the ideologies. But there are also some very important similarities. There is also a lot of overlap between these groups.

Now we come to the Neoconservative fascists:

These guys believe in strict allegiance to the ultimate power, which in America is the marriage of the government, corporate interests and the military-industrial complex. Their goal is to increase wealth and power through outright force and stripping of individual liberties.

They use war to not only take over the resources of other nations and to overthrow governments to install "American friendly" leaders, but they also do it to fleece the American people to feed the necon machine with funds. Of course, this is done in the name of protecting our national security or American "interests".

It's also important to note that they take complete advantage of a well-organised propaganda machine that is able to dupe millions of American's in to supporting their nasty scheme. They use key words that have emotional appeal to certain groups of people to make you think they are working in your interests: Words like "constitution" and "individual liberty". A real bad tactic they use is to invoke the name of god. A tactic Hitler used extensively because it creates the image that they work with god's favor and it plays to the emotions of the faithful.

Lastly, they label and demonize the enemy. This would include the use of terms like "communist", "socialist", "liberal",
"progressive" and even "muslim sympathizer".

For many of us, this is easy to recognize, Beez. It's not progressives or conservatives that we need to be looking out for. It's these neocons that have taken over the government.

Interesting video about controlled opposition.

Vladimir Lenin said;

"The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves."

Who can you trust?

www.youtube.com...

Beware of cloaked Democrats and Republicans.

"Neo-Conservatives" could be Left Wing Liberals using Marxism as a business model.

"Neo-Conservatives" were started by disgruntled Socialists !!

Witch constitution? The one our founding fathers created that allowed slavery? The one that didn't give equal rights to women? The one that allowed our government to intern Japanese Americans in WW2? The one that allowed secret medical experiments on minorities? The one that allowed the IRS and federal reserve to become law of the land without properly ratifying it?
