Just kids being kids really.

C'mon, no one in the history of ever did something incredibly stupid and dangerous in their youth?

It's probably a good wonder many people survive into adulthood given their antics in their teens and early 20s.

This won't be a popular opinion no doubt, but doing this kind of silliness is probably better than half the crap kids get up to these days. Think the knock out game and hard drugs and you'd get the idea.

Some times it's hard not to laugh at how silly some people can be.
Sort of a boys will be boys situation? Although I don't believe i'd be stupid enough to attempt to jump a car my most likely alcoholed friends is driving..

But I don't think boredom was the reasoning behind this

Well, car jumping is at least an exercise in the application of physics....so....maybe they're "studying" and just failing really, really, hard.

Personally, I'm more fond of this type of Mastery of Boredom :
(wish I could reach this level!)

It's quiet, non-intrusive, doesn't require hospital visits afterwards....and conserves fuel.
