Okay TA, you got my curiosity sparked.

Anymore news on this? I did a little search and didn't come up with anything. Anyone know how close the debris field is to the military installation? I would think, that if there is a history similar to this, that would be the most likely cause. A test gone bad? Experimental plane crash? Something that will NOT be in the news.

You did a search and came up with nothing? Wow. Something must have happened.

I hope no disinfo agents come on here and try to suggest it was just "birds" or "insects".

I checked AMS and found this report from Shreveport LA for Oct 13 at 2014-10-13 21:27:00 UTC with a description

due to cloud cover there was no visual, but there was no other way to report this to your web site other than to use the fireball sighting form, this event was eerily similar to chelyabinsk but not quite as energetic

as for sound

loud double-boom 2-second interval then diminishing rumble lasted 15 seconds, shook homes in 300 sq mile area, widely reported by all local news outlets, all other sources ruled out

I am in the arklatex and have heard nothing about this.

Asking around here i must have been asleep. People say something on radar and a boom but nothing found and it just went off radar.
