VIENNA - A senior US official said after nuclear talks with Iran on Wednesday that some progress continued to be made but much work remained to be done, adding the aim was still to reach a deal by a late November deadline.

The State Department official spoke after about six hours of talks between US Secretary of State John Kerry, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton in Vienna.

"We've been chipping away at some of the issues. Everybody has put ideas on the table to see if we can move the ball forward," the official said. "We have and continue to make some progress but there's a substantial amount of work to be done."

The Official remains nameless...

I'm not one to usually buy into anonymous sources...
& I take this story with a pinch of Salt...

But it's an interesting statement if true...

Could this be the start of the end for Israel, who have long been the most vocal advocates in an anti-Nuclear Iran...
Is nobody buying into the Zionist bulls# anymore?
Well good!

Could this also be the start of a new relationship between Iran & the US...

Only will tell, I guess!

We actually have as much in common with Iran as we do with Israel if not more. Corrupt oppressive ruling elite and lots of religious fundamentalism for starters.

Hehe of course. That's my point. Israel is far more socialist than America or Iran though. Either way the fact that Israel has nukes but Iran can't seems silly to me. Pakistan and India both have them to balance each other out. Iran is the obvious counterbalance to Israel.

Israel never signed the NPT. It's funny we are so worried about a nation that signed the NPT (Iran) getting nuclear weapons even after they have had more inspections than any other nation because a nation that didn't sign the NPT (Israel) has hundreds of nuclear weapons is crying they are trying to build nukes. Israel who has done nothing but start wars since it's creation and has also threatened the world with the Samson Option is allowed to have nukes but a nation like Iran which hasn't started a war in centuries can't be trusted. The UN should go into Israel and remove Israel's illegal nukes because it's only a matter of time till they use one while they are crying we are defending ourselves.

Ok just out of Curiosity how long are these Talks/Negotiations been going on ? And What is the estimated time line from government/other sources for them to complete manufacture of a viable nuclear device/s? ive been hearing talks, talks for a while i think it would give them more time to do whatever it is their trying to hide or not.??

Israel who has done nothing but start wars? What do you call being attacked simultaneously by Arab nations Egypt, Syria, Jordan with support from Iraq, Lebanon etc in 1967, or being attacked again by Egypt, Syria AND with support from Jordan & Iraq in 1973?

I know you have issues with Israel and to be honest, I'm not a fan how they've treated the Palestinians caught in the crossfire between the IDF and Iranian supplied & supported instigators HAMAS. *Which have often received military training in Iran and Syria* in the past and presently with Iranian support.

But don't try to paint them as the only aggressors. You may choose to ignore history and facts, The rest of us? Not so much. Nobody in the region are as white as the driven snow.

You know that.

Iran is not an innocent bystander

An Iranian official has revealed that Tehran gave Palestinians the means to have missiles that could reach Tel Aviv and is suggesting that the government should provide them with air defense systems to repel Israel’s aerial attacks. Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council, made these remarks which were reported by Al-Alam, state owned Iranian Arabic TV station.

Secretary Rezaei defended that Iran’s actions do not bore any sign of guilt and the government shouldn’t be shy of helping the Palestinians “defend themselves.” According to him, they “need to transfer defensive and military technology to Palestinians so that they can build weapons under the blockade” imposed by Israel.

The UN should go into Israel and remove Israel's illegal nukes because it's only a matter of time till they use one while they are crying we are defending ourselves.

The UN should stay the hell out of ANY sovereign country, Iran included, I never took you for one who supports the potential for a Blue helmet jackboot Global police force...

And if agreeable terms are not met by both parties ...? do they just start again ? my Question is how long has this been going on?? talks no talks talks no talks. hasn't it been years now? i'm uneducated on the subject but the format seems like a delaying strategy instead of mutual compromise.
