Apparently........well there's a couple of posts on the web regarding Turkey cutting off the water supply to Syria......

Now why would would they do that,......They may want to watch out because I'm sure water to all is a God given right, and also the decision maker should I'm assuming be God.

With all that said the timing of this does seem a little off. Using ISIS as a means to tactically strike at the PKK, now?

Is this a two birds with one stone kind of thing?

The PKK has been getting very active as of late and the Turks are simply dealing with the problem now instead of having to deal with it if they end hip deap in Syria dealing with ISIS. Make no mistake if the Turks were distracted by fighting ISIS the PKK would take full advantage despite the fact they are both against ISIS. We have seen this move many time is the region. Turkey is going to make sure its house is in order before it makes any moves in Syria.

You mean Ottoman Empire right? Or is that the same thing...?

One and the same, if I am not mistaken. The only resurrection possible for the enemy, is political. There is nothing new under the sun, or so they say.

Are you sure Turkey is against ISIS? If Turkey moves in Syria it would only be to fight Assad.
Erdogan knows more about ISIS than he lets on.

Turkey doesn't give a dam about Syria, Iraq, ISIS or their many innocent victims, NATO, the Kurds or anyone else but Turkey

Turkey certainly is against ISIS. Turkey however does not fear ISIS. What Turkey does fear is what happens when ISIS goes down. Turkey wants Assad gone, Turkey wants ISIS gone, Turkey wants the PKK gone. If Turkey goes in after ISIS and Assad the PKK will make a move and the Turks fear the PKK might end up with arms from the other Kurdish groups when ISIS falls. And all any nation cares about is what is best for them. If your own nation is not your top priority you should not be leading a nation. And again the PKK has long history of terrorist attacks against the Turks. This is not something they are going to over look to help anybody else.

Spot On....in the end, between Turkey, Israel and saudi....they have plans to divide the MidEast amongst these 3 powers. Whoever dies and whichever nation collapses in the process is just collateral damage for want of the end goal.

I do not think any of three nations have any territorial ambitions. All they would be doing is gaining trouble, religious strife and chaos. Those nations are happy to let that mess be somebody elses problem. They would all like to see stable friendly secular states in Iraq and Syria.

Oh poor Turkey.

They don’t have 200000 people dead because a bunch of nations especially Turkey has decided to undermine Syria with terrorist all over the country trying to overthrow a Shiite regime.

They don’t have terrorist in their country slaughtering their troops and people like Assad and the Syrians do.

The victims here isn’t Turkey and their age old oppression and hatred of the Kurds, the victims are the Syrian people and Iraqi civilians and Kurds who have been destroyed because of the geo political power play of Erdagon and his Gulf State buddies and US conspirators in their destabilization of Syria.

But I mean, they DO have claim to part of the land. The Turks came from Mongolia. The Kurds are probably worried about Armenia round 2.

Terrorism, bombing innocent people, is never justified. But having the Turkish army sitting on the border watching innocent people die as a sort of smug vengeance against corresponding people they think are related... is despicable. Turkey better NOT ask for help when chaos hits it.

You act as if Syria has been stable at all over the last few decades. It has not. Part of that has been caused by Syria attempts to gain control over Lebanon. The idea the US and the Gulf States forced Syria into being a dictatorship that spent decades screwing with Lebanon, Turkey, Israel and Iraq is laughable at best. Assad made his own bed without help from the outside. Inlcluding releasing radicals from his prisons to fight the US in Iraq and the FSA in Syria which has all come to bite him is backside. Not to mention the little ceasefire with ISIS so they could double team the FSA and the fact that Assad has spent plenty of time killing his own Kurds. So let us not play this game where Syria was some nice nation just sitting around minding its own business before it fell apart.

Turks of the world are actual Eurasians ,some of them look Asian , some Caucasian and some African / Arab . In fact Modern Turkish Republic contains extraordinary mixture of ethnicities and cultures . Kurds are also a part of this Turkish Palette .
Ironically , Kurdish & Armenian land claims are overlapping. It makes more so tragic to realise that these Kurds actually partook in the killings of Armenians of Ottoman Empire .

There about 1000 Kurdish fighters left in Kobani . Yesterday 300 Kurdish fighters crossed into Turkey with their weapons. They were asked whether they would like to get some rest and go back to fight ISIS in Kobani . Only 2 of 300 said yes , the rest declared they would rather stay in Turkey where they are safe .

Turkey can't willy nilly enter Syrian soil . A UN mandate and a NATO agreement is required for all the killing to be legal .
Syria is supported by Russia - China - Iran trio .
SO what you are asking Turks to do again ? Risk a war with Russia - Iran - China all alone ?

NATO Article 5 is in action already and as soon as a rogue group from Syria shoots some rockets towards Turks , the war will begin .

Will there be a Greater Kurdistan at the end of the war ?

Probably there will be an independent Kurdistan but not with land taken from Turks .

Real Politiks , works all the time .

Who said all of what you wrote...not me.

This is what I posted.

"The victims here isn’t Turkey and their age old oppression and hatred of the Kurds, the victims are the Syrian people and Iraqi civilians and Kurds who have been destroyed because of the geo political power play of Erdagon and his Gulf State buddies and US conspirators in their destabilization of Syria."

There is not a word of what I posted in praise of Assad or the Syrian government.

ALL THESE GOVERNMENTS ARE BAD!
All the leaders are responsible for massive crimes against humanity.

Of course Syria was and certainly not now any paradise but it is no worst or no better than any of these evil power hungry lunatics running any of these countries....And certainly the civilians don’t deserve what they face
That is what I am referring to…

What you extrapolate is in your own mind.

I don't get your point . Few years ago , the Syrian & Turkish Governments were having lovely relations and Esad was the darling of Erdogan . However , things have changes once 200000 thousand Syrians got murdered by Esad's government.

Esad unfortunately is a murderer just like his father was and nothing is ever going to change that .

Turks like other nations also have dirty tricks department . They did inherit Byzantine for a reason perhaps and this is not surprising at all . Some other NATO nations also have similar operational perimeters and I see no problem with it . It's the name of the game " Intelligence " .

Saddam gassed Kurds back in the 90's and Turks ended up with millions of Kurdish refugees overnight and accepted all of them .
Esad kills 200000 of his own people and 2 million Syrian refugees move to the land of Turks ,similarly Turks accept them all too .

Ottoman Turks ruled the area over 500 years and they only took it over from Mamluk Empire ( Circassian and Turkish ) who also ruled it for another few hundreds of years too . Only in the last 100 years the western rulers have arrived in Middle East . These new borders for Middle east which will be drawn soon enough, will have to have Turkish wisdom in it . It's only prudently cleverish to do so .
