Like many of my fellow members, I enjoy looking at some of the images released by NASA taken by the Mars rover Curiosity. Most of the images are, frankly, boring and unexciting. But sometimes the human mind can find patterns and shapes that resemble familiar things.

I have found a few that I would like to share.

"Monkey Rock" My youngest son noticed this and said it looked like a monkey's head.

"Storm Trooper"

"Coffin Rock"

"H was here"

"Castle on a Hill"

There are just a few that I have found that are interesting. Do you see what I see?

Please share any images you have found and what you believe the objects resemble.

Your son might be onto something, that rock does bear an uncanny resemblance to Dr Zaius...

The storm trooper is clearly shorter than I expected as well.

It's funny how the mind and the eye see the same thing and interpret it differently.

AHA!

The folks at NASA with PHD's have reputation and the publicised images of Mars in the 70's that were RED are a problem. It was a monumental cock up. But like all arrogant people they cannot admit to the initial screw up. NB they are not being purposely evasive about the colour of Mars since then, simple boring face saving (but the conspiracist sees alien/government/nwo cover up). So since then they have slowly but surely pared back the red overlay. Now it is a sandy brown.Give it another 10 years and we will have blue sky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most interesting thing I see is how similar the "storm trooper" rock is to the much larger face on mars in cydonia.

My peridoliaishness imagines a small version of a much larger monument.

I can't post pictures but I found something very interesting, take your "coffin" picture, start from the bottom left corner of the coffin and go down to the center of the source picture, there is an object with a hole on the top and what looks like a little bracket on the front edge.

there are some other interesting shapes in the other pictures as well, but none that stand out like this one, if you or someone else finds it please post it, thanks.
