"It is with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment that we must inform you of the death of Thomas Eric Duncan this morning at 7:51 am," Texas Health Resources said in a statement. "Mr. Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease, Ebola. He fought courageously in this battle. Our professionals, the doctors and nurses in the unit, as well as the entire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas community, are also grieving his passing. We have offered the family our support and condolences at this difficult time."

With ebola having a 50-90% mortallity rate its sadly not surprising. With that and the last ZMAPP batch gone there might be more to follow.

Preppers get your 3M gasmasks ready and lots of bleach.

Sadly, Duncan didn't receive the experimental treatment until after a week of of his diagnosis, whereas others were given the treatment sooner and survived.

He didn't get the ZMapp.
I think they waited too long to treat him

Oh I know. A recent ATS thread said that norwegian lady got the last batch.

The difference between the Dallas case and the two doctors is that Duncan wasn't connected. You didn't see them whisk him from Dallas to Atlanta in a hazmat suit in a caravan of official vehicles flashing lights. You saw him turned away with antibiotics. You saw them tell his family to shelter in the same place their dad was sick in. You saw him die.

I'll leave it at that.
