Getting unloaded down in Boca Raton, FL. Great view from here, however, I can't capture a good photo with my phone.

We're at about half eclipse right now, very trippy looking, It's 2:30 in the morning and I awoke from the couch just in time to see.

That was neat! My oldest boy had actually moved to the couch by the time I went downstairs to head outside, and he got to watch the start of it with me. He didn't last long, it's getting chilly. I'm just glad it is clear tonight!

I was all prepared to catch the blood moon eclipse this morning. I got my tripod all set up and put the camera on it.
I went out the front door instead of the well lit back door and I got to the end of the driveway and I tripped and the
tripod fell from my hand, hit the ground and my camera banged on the driveway. The battery fell off when it hit
the driveway. After I found it, I spend a few min. trying to put it back on in total darkness. Gave up and went inside,
got it fixed and when I came back out, the eclipse was low and hidden behind a wall of trees.

I gave it my best shot.

And btw...I'm shocked that my video camera still works! It hit the ground HARD! I know because I hit it pretty
darn hard myself.

I took the dog for a pre-dawn walk this morning and we were able to watch most of it. The moon really did turn a brown-red. It looked smaller as well. Very cool.

Light fog and clouds moving through but it was still worth the effort.

Aw, too bad. Next one is in 6 months too. It's also being broadcast on Livestream here from Griffith Observatory. Gosh that's really red.

Yeah 5.7 pretty hard to see with the naked eye. I had perfect conditions here tonight, though and was able to see it with nothing but eyball. It look a lot better through my Celestron.

I guess some eyes are better then others, Phage.

Those are really nice. The first one is really good. Thanks for sharing. It's cloudy here in the Memphis area as we've had storms and rain here off and on the past few days.

Thank you.
I had to laugh, when trying to take the full eclipse one.
My camera kept saying Turn on flash. Yeah, cause that would help. LOL

Saw it this morning from the Sahara Desert. Was an orangey color. I thought it would be redder.

I've always wondered why it was never called a 'poo' moon instead of blood moon.
