I thought I'd share this short video of my cockatoo, Sam. He recently got a new cage
and he's got lots of room to play.

Here's a vid of him acting silly.

edit on 7-10-2014 by virraszto because: omg why can't I embed video's anymore??

So what was the poor guy living in before, a match box?

Actually, he was in a cage designed for a cockatoo, now he's in a cage
designed for a macaw. And he spends more time out of his cage
than in it.

aww, that's cute. an umbrella?
I used to be owned by one, I sure do miss her.

my little conures went bonkers when I played the video. lol.

I know cages aren't cheap, and I'm like you mine are out more than they are in. my house is testimony to that. (chewed up carpet, door trim, etc. )
so don't let the matchbox comment get to you. he/she just doesn't get it. aside from having an aviary, no cage is big enough for any type of parrot.

Wow, that's quite the headbanger you've got there. I love seeing animals play and act silly.

a reply to: virraszto I swear that I saw second-hand smoke coming out of his beak. Perhaps the atmosphere of the room affected him?

Oh Sam is so happy! What a lucky boy. I see someone special is a spoiled boy - as it should be.

I bet what you're seeing is bird dust. Cockatoos produce crazy amounts of bird dander.
You can see it when he shakes his body. If I don't dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop every
day, it looks like some one dumped baby power all over everything. He gets a shower every
few days to help reduce the dander.

I used to have a sulphur crest cockatoo and he used to swear like a trooper.
