If there is ever to be a Palestinian state, everyone is going to have to adjust their ideas of sovereignty, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview broadcast Sunday.

Netanyahu, who filmed the interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria during his stay last week in New York, said that the only way to ensure that territory ceded by Israel does not turn into a “third Iranian enclave around Israel’s border” is to have a long-term Israeli security presence inside a future Palestinian state.

The Palestinians, according to Netanyahu, “say: ‘Oh, you can’t do that. That offends our sovereignty. We can’t have the security presence or military presence of our former enemy on our soil. That doesn’t square with independence.’ I say: Really? How about American forces in Germany 70 years after the fact or in Japan or in South Korea?” While acknowledging that “no analogy is perfect and identical,” Netanyahu said that if Hamas takes over the West Bank, “they could stop our international airport with mortars, not rockets, not missiles.

While I see his point with that line of thinking there will never be a Palestinian state because they won't ever agree to those terms. That's part of the reason they continue to fight Israel, because of Israeli occupation.

I wish a Palestinian state would form that could work with Israel but for that to ever become a reality Israel needs to withdraw it's occupation.

We all know Netanyahooo! does not want to see a Palestinian state so as long as he is in power the occupation will continue.

This was also an interesting quote,

As to whether the situation in the Middle East, where all Israel’s enemies seem to be fighting one another, was good or bad for Israel, Netanyahu replied, “When your enemies are fighting each other, don’t support one or the other.

Benny has finally slipped off the deep end. If he is so worried about Hamas gaining control in the West Bank then maybe Israel should stop all their terrorist activities there. Also will Israel be helping Hamas in the West Bank like they did in Gaza? Iran is nothing for Israel to worry about Iran has constantly said that they will attack Israel if Israel attacks them first. Besides does Israel really want to mess with a nation that could potentially put 39 million soldiers in the field compared to Israel's 2 million.

dud hasn't a clue.

sovereignty is two separate entities respecting each others boundaries/comfort zones.

no single entity has more sovereignty than another.

Post your sentries on your side of the boundary- (if you feel it necessary to post sentries 1st place) to show some self respect.
