Sah-Tahn is Hebrew S-ThN. It means Oppose, opponent or adversary, and is the root of the word Satan in Hebrew. Hebrew is like a tree. Roots make branches that bear fruit (other words connected to the branch). Before this word, we have SThM, which is the word hate. Merchandise and Trade are from the same root, SHhR. You also get the beating of the heart, as in the heart going to and fro. In Job, Satan was going to and fro on the Earth. What is Earth? Soil. I have covered this before on ATS. Ear is a seed. Hear means behold, or the added letter Hey, which means behold. HearT adds the letter Tav, or plowman's mark. The Heart in Hebrew is a young stag, or deer. Cor in Latin is the Heart, but in Hebrew, it is the bushel basket to be filled. Moving the Hey to the end of the plowman's mark, you have EartH. HearT and Earth are soil for seed, or Words from letters.

What is the purpose of the Earth? House of prayer, or a place to develop the heart. Merchandise and Trade are the marks of the adversary, or the one who opposes God.

What is the God of Babylon? Selfishness, or the animal nature of the Beast. What is the mark of the Beast? Selfishness, or what is produced by knowledge (fruit of knowledge / technology).

The question above is a hard question to answer. We are all surrounded by the fruit of commerce and trade.

Satan is Desire to take. God's will is to give only. When Jesus overturns the tables of the moneychangers and the benches of the ones selling doves, he is foreshadowing our day and age.

Today, the moneychangers (bankers) financial tables are turned to debt. The peacemakers (Doves) have no rest (Benches).

Who do we love in this world? We know ourselves by our fruit.

What are the roots past S-ThN?

SKL - Understand - The ability to consider a situation with comprehension in order to be successful or prosperous. The words Understanding and Benefit are both on this branch.

SLHh - Forgive. Lifting one out of a debt.

You cannot love or hate that which does not exist or your own very existence is a delusional one!!

Desire is not a person, but a state of mind motivating will. Will is the key here. The will of a thief takes. The will of God is to give and receive. Objectivism is a way of thinking. So is altruism. Satan is an adversary to God's will. Ayn Rand is a good example of objectivism. Jesus is the example of altruism.

In Greek tragedy, the point is the development of character through pathos. Pathos develops sympathy and empathy for others. Avoiding apathy is a goal of pathos.

Life is a process to know yourself through the image you see in others. Satan appears in all kinds of people, including our own person. It's the point of the story of our walk on Earth.

AMEN....er I mean RIGHT ON, brother...I love, nor believe in neither and will continue that way...funny I saw an advert today by Ron Reagan, son of the Former U.S. Pres. for an Atheist organization today and he signed off with something like: "I'm Ron Reagan, proud atheist, not afraid to burn in hell." Gave me a giggle.

It's not fair to ask a child who they love more, Daddy or Mommy. If you force an answer, inevitably, someone's going to get their feeling hurt and family dysfunction ensues.

implying theres a parental co-op between god and satan, which flies in the face of the whole "war over the human race" spiel that makes it so important for us to sell our souls to one faction or the other.

Regarding the topic at hand, English, Greek, Latin, and the Semitic languages hold great realizations when researching root-word etymologies. The root and branch examples you share are quite insightful.





Jesus did indeed say that money belongs to the temporality of Earth:
"Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s." (Mark 12:13-17)

It is also remarkable to witness this great man of peace turn to anger and disgust during the Cleansing of the Temple, where men were cultivating temporal wealth rather than spiritual treasure.

What is "Evil"? There is no need for semantics about morals or righteousness, evil's truth is revealed by looking into a mirror: Evil / Live
Evil is the opposite of Live, which is Life Living Free. That which is beyond Life Living Free is evil.

Many things are counter to Life Living Free, such as emotional/psychological/physical/material attachment,... fear, ignorance, trickery, manipulation, infringement, abuse, tyranny, and oppression.

We can strive toward God and that which is Good out of reverence and obedience (exoteric outer), or we can transcend duality and act and react by the virtues of Love and Light (esoteric inner), which, by emanation, Love and Light are of the Divine Theos.

"Satan is Desire to take. God's will is to give only."

As God's Will is "to give,".... the creation, by nature, is imparted with the capability "to receive."

By nature, we humans, enter the world seeking "to receive" from our temporal Mother and Father, while the Mother and Father seek "to give" to the child. (As Above, So Below). Freely Giving and Receiving are amongst the highest manifestations of Love. Whereas, "to take" is evil, being the opposite of Life Living Free.
