The news conference will be held at 3 pm at Frisco’s Central Fire Station.

dfw.cbslocal.com...

Thanks for the link!
I can tell you how this will go though:

SCENE: DAYTIME: Outdoor in front of Fire Station, Frisco, TX

GENERIC POLITICIAN: We have quarantined the suspected patient. Nothing to see here. Remember that ebola is not a contagious disease at all. In fact I gave the patient a huge bear hug before they were taken away in an ambulance. Everything is going to be alright y'all, please, don't panic. We have the situation under control.

REPORTER: I'm sorry, did you say that you just gave the patient a bear hug?

GENERIC POLITICIAN: Yes, because we have been told that ebola is not a contagious disease.

ACTION: Everyone in audience slowly backs away from politician, then runs away as fast as they can.

Yep, that's how it's gonna go down heh...

Ahhh, crap! They killed the Spanish nurse's dog. RIP, Excalibur. I hope you're in a better world.

I bet they are not putting this patient in the same isolation room because they haven't had the time to truly decontaminate it yet.

Okay gang, 2 things really popped into my mind about this.

1) since Duncan's case was handled so poorly they are being way over cautious and going way overboard (if there is such a thing in this case)

2) there are a lot of strange people in the world, and with each and every "I have ebola" case, they really have to do all of the fan fair. Because the clock is right 2 times a day after all.

Watching the live feed from WFAA, is very surreal.

For anyone not familar with the Care Clinics, these are very popular in the Metroplex. they are like a walk in clinic with doctors and such. Good for a cold, or a need for a doctor on the weekend or after hours, but not really in the need for the ER. But they are in no way, shape or form equipped for a possible ebola patient.

Same isolation room, No.

Same isolation wing, Yes.

I remember reading somewhere that they isolated an entire wing of the hospital for Duncan. That would leave plenty of other rooms for more patients.

No additional security detail to get them there safely? Even a double wide mobile home going down the road takes more precautions with a lead and tail car. What a disaster if that ambulance got into a wreck!!!

Good to know as with the fist link sounded like the clinic where he walked in would be under the gun for transmission.

Wonder how far along this next victim is? Does the onset of symptoms go from zero to a hundred in a matter of minutes? Hours? days? I know I would be hyper sensitive to ANY changes and run not walk to the nearest emergency.

From what I could tell he easily walked into the ambulance wearing only a masked hood.

He doesn't seem very far along symptom wise.

BREAKING: SUV surrounded by tape at Frisco CareNow belongs to one of the Dallas Co deputies that went into the #Ebola patients apartment.

Wow. If this guys is one of the deputies that entered the apartment, there are a LOT more patients to come.

Okay now they are showing a police escort.

In a way I am really glad they are keeping a tight zoom on the ambulance, and just showing maybe 2 car lenghts ahead and behind and not a wide shot. Its pretty easy to figure out where they are, and what path they are on if they did show a wide shot. And people are stoopid, and curious and would want to go see.

Or can you imagine driving along on X freeway listening to talk radio, and then realizing you just got passed by the Ebolamobile?

Does anyone remember if the deputies whose squad cars were quarantined were wearing any protective gear?

What were they doing at the apartment initially?

He was no further into his contamination/infection than any of the others who have been flown home. Yes there was a 3 day window after he began to show the signs, but getting air travel plans and protocols for the others has had about the same window prior to their arrival times and treatment as far as we know.

I read an article that said he may have been exposed to MORE of the ebola because he was just a regular person, and the docs tried to be careful and were much more covered up and they may have been exposed to less of the virus

No, they weren't. If I remember correctly, they were there to enforce the quarantine because his girfriend and family sneaked out to go shopping.

Oh snap, :

NEW: CareNow says patient checked "YES" to question on screening form about travel to West Africa.

So the pen and clip board, the chairs and the office waiting room, the patients and staff were exposed to Ebola? I feel for the patients who used the same pen he did to mark the questionnaire.

WHY on earth did he not go to Presbyterian in the first place?

Why did he not CALL ahead and get escorted?

Why did he not trust the Authorities that surly gave him a contact number in case he did begin to show symptoms?

Listen to my link back on or around page 20 something on The Hot Zone... If you were to take a pin head or even less of Ebola and place it in water, it would turn, grow in a short time into Billions of cells.

Well on September 25th Duncan also walked into a hospital. 3 Days later was walking out to the ambulance barfing his guts out all over the public sidewalk.
