If the universe is a hologram, that means that there is a creator, or ss some people claim, creators. The whole IT staff would be the creators and the boss could be the main creator of the holographic universe.

A hologram would allow the creating team to be all knowing and all powerful. They would be able to read the code and change the code at will. BUT not necessarily be able to read all the code at once or make massive changes. They could rewrite the code for one person but not have the time to rewrite the code for every person. That's why the hand of the creator only effects some people instead of all. That's why, while God is everywhere, he is not always active.

The creator decides to watch Big Daddy, and while away, something bad happens to a city. Has happened to many on line players when they leave the game on and have to do something else.

Prayers are like emails. Can you imagine, that you have 300 messages about some fantasy football team and in between is someone asking for something real. That would easily be missed or skipped.

Heck, taking 6 days to create the basic code and on the 7th day, go and rest.

Kind of goofing around with the idea, but I am sure more of you can make more parallels.

So who or what created the IT team's universe?

ETA: Also lamb and tuna fish? Never heard of that dish before.

So you watched 'The Matrix' then decided to steal their theory and post it as a thread on ATS?

Cool.

Can't say that I ever heard of that one either.
So I google searched it.
It is from an Adam Sandler movie.... 'Big Daddy'.

Well the lag in this particular game is pretty bad. It took his own avatar three days to respawn according to Christianity.

The Matrix isn't an original idea at all. It's just a repackaging of a very very old idea.

I like lamb and I like tuna fish but the combination of the two sounds disgusting.

I think the bigger question is can this universe creation team actually create a universe that they can't create? Hmmmmm.....

Sorry but your understanding of the "holographic universe" theory is just off.

The holographic theory is stating that all the information in a region of space can be determined by the information on the surface containing it. It's talking about the duality of light as a wave and a particle.

It's not in any way saying that the universe is a simulation or a hoax or a synthetic creation.

What you're saying is like saying that if you look at a book's cover and determine from it's orientation, the orientation of the pages within, this somehow indicates that the pages aren't real.

Yeah, you're onto the ball... But sssh... Most people haven't caught up yet so you still sound like a crazy sky-wizard worshipper to them.

Funnily enough, we are at a stage of enough progression in general knowledge and the sciences to logically deduce the existence of a creator/group of creators.

We can do this through one of two models on the human existence within the universe:

1 - Consciousness is programmable. It's reducible to just a body and mind. It can be perfectly replicated in a robot and therefore self-awareness can be created by simply having 'senses' and a 'processor' of the senses. The transfer of atomic information, so to say. This is the current paradigm.

2 - Consciousness isn't programmable. It is fundamentally a separate factor. Mind, body and soul. Your soul is the observer of the atomic information transfer, and this ultimate awareness of each living entity effectively holds the universe together in solid form, through subjective perception. A system of body and mind can only replicate consciousness, but no separate entity actually SEEs or FEELs the atomic information transfer.

If you accept Case 1, you must proceed with the simulation analysis (for logical consistency) which would ultimately lead you to the logical conclusion that if we accept two assumptions (that we know can be true because we are doing them lol) we are significantly likely to be an offshoot virtual universe of the 'originals'. In fact, the chances we weren't would be astronomically low.

If you accept Case 2, then you accept that awareness/consciousness is as fundamental to the existence of this universe as the atoms themselves, and it is the interaction of awareness and atomic information that gives rise to 'matter', and without awareness the atomic information exists in all possible states simultaneously.

This means at the start of our universe, an awareness of all was required to ensure the atomic information actually transferred and grew in complexity, rather than maintain it's comfortable position of all-states/no-state. This awareness is nothing less than God and holds the entirety of the universe together by keeping the atomic dance going.

It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that love exists. And you exist. And you can make choices with your body, and you can completely sacrifice your body for those you love, to help and protect them. You can deny every piece of atomic information inside of you and destroy your body at the 'souls' will.

And I don't mean genetic love, but true love, for all living things. The ability for altruism, to risk your life for a complete stranger, or for an animal in distress. These things cannot be trivialised to coded behaviours and darwinistic instincts.

You do not need to look much further than these simple truths to understand the divine that flows throughout. The native Americans would laugh at the white man for having to look to a book to confirm the existence of this all-encompassing spirit, when they only needed to live to understand it.

Sadly, how can we know God when we don't even know ourselves. We don't even know our true history on this Earth. Our religious and cultural views could've been impacted by so many wild factors that turning to any of the ancient sacred texts for ultimate knowledge is dangerous.

But remember people, please, if 'it' exists, and it did this all to give all living things a glimpse of 'experience', and our gift/curse is the ability to make choices as humans, it knows it CANNOT break the illusion by revealing itself. The moment it does so, it takes away any aspect of choice we ever had, for we would then forever be influenced by this event.

Therefore, if it exists in this form, it must endure the collective suffering and pain of every human to exist, all so to not ruin the game it has created for us. Please, remember that people the next time you angrily say 'there can't be a God because its not helping us'.

We always have the choice to end this experience, just as well as attempt to improve it at apparently limitless capacity.

It never denied us that. Only we have denied that to each other, just like we have bought all other sin upon each other.

I am sure that if it exists, nothing 'hurts' it more than that.

Yeah the universe is only as much of a hologram as how much spinning is going on.

I think you may be getting confused by the fact you are imagining all physical mass is a solid object with *empty space inside it*

Which is simply not true.

Its the actions of the sub-atomic particles vibrating that cause an *image* to appear. Because there are sub atomic particles orbiting each other faster than we can detect.

Think of a fan blade spinning, Or a helicopter rotor.

OMG that that *circle* above the helicopter is HUUGEE. Before it was like, These long bands? How does it make the appearance of increasing surface area? Oh right, its spinning. But the critics will say *There is mostly empty space in between those fan blades*

Must be the holographic nature of oscillation

Very convenient, however It apparently happens thousands and thousands of times every day to people all over the world......and who on earth would want an event that would unify the human race and go a long way to stopping the wars being carried out in 'its' name all over the world right now?

And i'm not sure why you would think such a revelation would remove any aspect of choice we ever had? Sure it'd mean that any choice of religion might be taken away (not completely, the irrationality of religious folk leads me to believe even after such a revelation some would still worship their old 'gods') but it wouldn't change what I choose to have for breakfast (unless it's one of those ridiculous entities that hates particular foods such as bacon). Life would generally go on, we'd still have to live this life regardless of whatever is going to happen once we die.

Yeah i'm sure that makes Elisabeth Fritzl feel better.

the primary logical error here is that "holographic universe" and "creator" are not mutually exclusive in any way.

Just like Oklo taught us that "nuclear reactor" and "nuclear physicist" aren't mutually exclusive.
