The piece misses one off the main reason about the whole situation. Trying to cut off Russia from delivering gas to the EU to keep Russia from becoming a too strong partner for China. It`s about US and EU wanting to stay in the power. So it`s about world domination.

Well that is the same reason we went into Afghanistan too, Halliburton wanted to build a pipeline through tribal lands and Cheney made sure it happened.

The piece though touches some aspects, "they" always have multiple goals, but leaves out the main reason.

You can see how hypocritical the West was regarding Russia and Crimea when they now basically do the same thing.

Left unsaid, once again, is Israels role in all this. They want another neighbour thoroughly destroyed for their own land grabs and a pliable and controllable puppet installed.

I see Obama is now talking about a "no fly" zone over Syria. Well that didn't take long did it, but it's to protect civilians apparently. Since when did protecting civilians come into the equation? I mean, it's not like the US and it's various and many coalitions have a stellar job of NOT bombing civilians before!

The main aim is the toppling of Assad, using another manufactured enemy to get a foot in the door, then changing the rules that were originally stated after a day or two. Rinse and repeat.

What happens when bigger powers then ourselves start to questions 'The Wests' motives?... Like say for example if China and Russia just publicly told 'The West' retreat from the Middle East and stay well away or WW3 will kick off? (basically block the west from the oil etc)..

Eventually the world is gonna get pissed off with the US and The UK if they keep invading oil rich counties..

The West seem like the Grasshoppers from "A Bugs Life" eventually the ants will fight back, no?

I think it is telling because there hasn't been much news about IS since they got their war going. Now it is just news about terrorists at home and how liberties and rights need to be taken away to protect us.

We hyped the isis threat with their questionable but shocking execution videos for a reason. ISIS in Syria was a way to shock Americans into standing by for the US to attack Syria because until the executions there was no threat to Americans. ISIS is the scam to get to Syria because we couldn't last year.

They bombed Syria to eliminate an imminent threat (makes no sense) then bombed empty buildings meaning threat not eliminated (which made no sense anyway). Then the Iraqi PM says there is an imminent threat to Paris and NYC but the fbi/cia dismisses it???

In my opinion we will see an attack on us within coming months. Don't know what kind, but it's all too fishy. They go there to stop a threat, don't stop it, then claim they've never heard of an imminent threat when someone in the actual know warns them.

Also seems France realized the benefits of making jihadis mad.. They werent targets until they led the way in Libya and Syria, now they are getting threats. Seems they invited terrorism to their country so they can run the same fear campains on the French.
