I still don't understand why this guy didn't make it to president.

He always seems to make so much sense. I think America missed an opportunity....

Love the guy.

Peace

How he didn't make it to president? The house of representatives maintains two wonky characters, one from the left and one from the right. These are puppets they can drag out any time the people get riled up in order to help get things back on track. Just look at what he did for the administration during the struggle to get Reagan elected. He is part of the in crowd. He might have been born in Dormont, PA, but he didn't live among the people for very much of his life. If keeping him elected in one backwoods county in Texas is the investment the elite must pay to give you the illusion of choice and to waste your energies nonviolently on a dead end struggle, then it is a small price.

Where is that libertarian surge everyone was talking about 10 years ago? The tea party has been bought out by social cons and the libertarians are drooling on themselves in the corner again. When the social libertarian right, the anarchists and the libertarian left get together outside of the confines of the republican or libertarian parties, that revolution might stand a chance. When occupy wallstreet was going on and the libertarians were making fun of them for being socialists, they missed their chance to synthesize real change in this country. Real revolutionaries create consensus from the fringes. They do not lead people to register for one of the major parties supporting the status quo.

I can't believe he didn't make it either.

I think there are a few reasons why... He is not handsome or debonair. He doesn't put on airs, he doesn't pander. He doesn't speak in flowery speeches, or promise things he can't deliver. He calls it like he sees it and offers no apologies for doing so.

The biggest reason is he would have likely worked his agenda and cleaned house. He never had a chance IMO from that fact alone.

We Americans appear to be learning disabled because we keep voting for the same people (in different shells) all the while expecting a different outcome. It's not called insanity for nothing..

I never would of expected to see Steve Baldwin argue against Marijuana. I wonder how much he got paid to to this because anybody who actually cares about their career would never agree to take a beating like this.

Gotta love Ron Paul though. America really did miss out not having this man in office. The problem is the media and the two party system makes it seem like there are only two choices come election. It sucks.

Maybe it conflicts with his view of Christianity, that's all I can think of.

Paul did not really have a chance to win the election considering he was basically cheated out of the nomination by the right. Even Romney said they "kind of had to steal" the nomination from Paul, which is a very polite way of putting it. I don't care if one likes the man or not, the tactics employed by republicans to ensure he did not receive the republican nomination were appalling. I'm sure there have been books written on it by now. Even if one could compile an aggregate of everything bad about Ron Paul, I am willing to bet he still makes more sense and has more integrity than almost all other politicians in Congress. He DEFINITELY has always made more sense than any of them and on a more consistent basis. Common sense that benefits the nation is rarely found in a politician, and he is a rare exception. Any dirt there is on Paul is nothing compared with other politicians, which is obvious from their political stances.

People acting to benefit the country would take many of the same stands that Ron Paul has, so either our politicians are incompetent or corrupt. The legalization issue is just one of the many issues where common sense is on its side. How can anyone say that alcohol is not more dangerous than marijuana, yet alcohol remains legal while marijuana is illegal? The infringement on not only the rights of the people but also on the rights of the individual states by the federal government is ridiculous.

And the point he made about Al Capone and the cartels is spot on. People like Capone not only thrived, but existed because of prohibition. The cartels exist for the exact same reason. If they could not make such huge profits off of their products then they would be nowhere near the threat they are today. So one again I ask, are our politicians ignorant or just complicit?

Change! We got it alright.

I mean someone has to step up. Perhaps I could lead. And be one of those 'no mercy' son's a bitches.

Ok people of the world, first, we leave me alone and allow me my golfing time.

Haha Ron Paul owned that Hollyweird idiot. Not surprising. Ron usually hits the common sense nail on the head. I wish he could've became president instead of Bush or Obama. But unfortunately, AIPAC and the Israel lobbyists will never allow that to happen. Pot should've never been illegal to begin with. People who say that marijuana is "the gateway drug" do not know what they're talking about. Alcohol IS the gateway drug. Don't punish marijuana users because of a few nimrods?

Just the other day, I had a heli buzzing above my home, at tree level, flying around like a maniac, all because they are looking for pot plants. I was like: ALL THIS OVER A DAMN PLANT????? Go shake down the pill heads, the meth junkies, the coke-head freaks.....

I just watched it again, and you know what? In the ending, to me, the host and mr baldwin were coming off as they've smoked pot, yet they're trying to downplay. After ron paul said "i never seen pot, i never been in a room with pot." Which technically is a lie.

He's seen pot plants on TV, posters, movies, don't lie. And who knows if someone in the room didn't have a dime sack in their pocket or purse? Other than that nick-pickin-lie, Ron Paul would have changed the world, for the better.
