America's Politicians Earn $608 Per Hour

According to The Hill [6], liberal activist Ralph Nader worked out the eye-popping calculation in an angry letter he sent to Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Monday. From The Hill:

“While millions of Americans are working more and more for less and less, you and your House of Representatives seem to have no problem working less and less for more and more,” he wrote.

Nader calculated that Boehner, who earns $223,500 a year as Speaker, will earn roughly $781 per hour over a three-and-half month span, given Congress worked only eight days. Boehner has a higher salary than rank-and-file members.



So there you have it ATS...some friends of mine are barely making it working two jobs. Then you have "Mr. Boehner" and his statue smug tan face collecting more in an hour than some people in a week. And the politicians wonder why they are hated so much. Would I give to play the song "Hells Bells" for the Congress during session and blast it till their ear drums bleed.

Politicians are a cancer of society.

None can be trusted and their true necessity in society cannot be measured by successes, only by a long train of abject failures...And yet, somehow, we continue to justify their existence and the "profession" of politics as a necessary construct of human society.

I have yet to see the logic of how this construct is helpful to the advancement of individual liberty and human freedom in general.

and what do welfare recipients get per month i would bet someone along the lines of that hourly wage....but its the people on welfare that are causing countries to go broke...hmmm....politicians are cancer alright ...
