I've thought about this before. When we find relics from the past, we automatically assume none of our ancestors had any humor or creativity.

Agreed. I look at things like the Voynich Manuscript and I see some guy huddled over these pages just giggling to himself day after day relishing in what a huge mind f#*! this will be one day.

As long as there have been people, there had to have been people who liked messing with other people. It can't be something new. I refuse to believe it.
