I'm glad the teachers and kids are protesting. I wasn't going for that angle, though. Besides, threads about protests get ugly. No need to drag the kids into one.

People do have very strong feelings about protesting - true. I take your point

I was very happy to see them protest this though - at least it ensures that this sort of thing doesn't just get buried and forgotten

Also, these are young adults - it's time for them to learn they have a voice. This is about their schools and their education - they're not too young to understand how much history can be manipulated and their beliefs in some way subtlety coerced

Besides - this is my old school system. Glad to see things haven't changed - at least not completely
