The "Shut Down All Ports Of Entry" protest set for today was apparently cancelled by organizers because of threats from the Cartels !!

The point was to "close" down a few ports of entries in protest of the Obama immigration policies.

Hmmm.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said they would be ready to respond if necessary.

At the same time, the organization issued a statement the other day that said the "militias" were not welcome at these protests.

Maybe the "militias" would have made a difference?

A plan by U.S. protesters against illegal immigration to block traffic at more than a dozen border crossings in the southwest on Saturday was canceled after organizers said they received online threats from Mexican drug cartels.

Billed as a "Shut Down All Ports Of Entry" protest against the Obama administration's immigration policies, demonstrators had said they would try to stop incoming and outgoing traffic at 17 locations in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.

But lead organizer Stasyi Barth posted a warning on the event's official website saying that a combination of violent threats and "suspicious activity" on the group's Facebook page prompted her to call off the action.

I was reading up on this and have to say it's fricken hilarious. They didn't cancel this because of threats, they canceled because less than 150 people were even interested in taking part.

The "threats" were only the stupid opinion of an American, who happened to be of Mexican decent, and the comments that followed on the FB thread were racist and even more threatening.

There is also talk that this entire deal was just a sham by Stasi Barth to create media hype.

I'm all for a good protest, but this was bound to fail from the beginning.

Wasn't that the whole point to confront the cartels and show what big bad militia types they are; To teach them a lesson they would never forget.

It's time for those that want to protest and stop the illegal immigration, slave trade and drug running to either put up or SHUT UP!!

If you are going to call yourself a citizens militia...act like one!

No ... they actually said they did not want any militias taking part. So that was not at all the point.

So you want what? Malitia to just show up even though they were told to piss off? Why would they waste the time? If they showed up anyways, they would be lambasted by liberal media as bandits showing up uninvited.
