This would have been cool news 15 years ago but as it is Egon is dead and they're just doing it for the money , I have no doubt it will be terrible if it actually gets made.

Sometimes it's best to let things be , Ghostbusters was cool but it was of it's day.

Just to play devils advocate....... Why shouldn't a movie be re-made/rebooted/re-imagined? This is hardly a new practise with drama. Plays are reinterpreted constantly in the theatre, and have been since the ancient Greeks - I have seen four high profile versions of a Hamlet in the last 6 years for instance.

Why should movies be exempt from this practise just because it is the youngest form of Drama? Admittedly there have been very few newer versions of a previous movie that have improved on the original ( there are a few though-makes a good debate in itself), but should it stop film makers from trying? In the theatre Actors talk about the day they will give 'their' Lear. Why couldn't it be the same on screen..... A young actor one day wanting to give 'their' Don Corleone, for example.

cant wait for the new ghostbusters. i have read a few different things about it.
from female cast to bill murray not coming back.

i dont really care either way.

i doubt its going to be as good as the first 2 but so what.
i love movies and i cant wait for this.

i might be the odd man out but i love remakes and reinterpretations.
it does not bother me at all.

here is the thing some people may not think about.

not every movie is intended to be an oscar winner or the best movie of its generation.
some movies are made for good ole fashioned entertainment..

i love oscar winners. . i also love me some b-movies and low budget stuff.
