After Cops Seized and Kept Cash, Washington, D.C. Settles Almost Million-Dollar Forfeiture Class Action.

Washington, D.C. paid $855,000 to settle a class action filed by property owners who argued that the city’s policy of seizing and taking their cash violated their constitutional rights.

Using a little-known legal procedure known as civil forfeiture, District police seized small amounts of cash— with many seizures around $100—from approximately 9,000 people.

Among the owners represented in the lawsuit, the median amount of cash seized was a mere $120. In fact, the MPD seized as little as $1 from some owners.

ONE DOLLAR. You guys thought I was exaggerating or being a drama queen. Nope. ONE FRIGGIN DOLLAR.

You can now be legally robbed of ONE DOLLAR.

Something needs to be done about the Blue Mafia. Not for nothin, but Id rather deal with common street thugs. At-least you're allowed to defend yourself against a good ol' honest crook.

This has to be a conspiracy right? They want to terrorize us until we stop using cash altogether. Only plastic, so the government knows where every penny is spent and the banks get a transaction fee from every swipe.

Anyway, there is one guy trying to do something:

Rand Paul Introduces Forfeiture Reform in Senate.

This is sad.

There used to be laws that if you did not have a minimum amount of cash on your person, you could be arrested for vagrancy.
Now, if you have a dollar... the cops will take it from you.

I can say this, the Bushes, Blair's and Clintons better build a fortress somewhere.
When more people wake up and realize the hangover and pain in their hind parts were caused by their government officials, there will be hell to pay.

What about all the people who had cash taken, but it wasn't reported in
the police report? I bet is was a lot more than $855,000 They settled
because they knew it was a lot more that was taken.

This should be classed as organized crime. The RICO statute should apply.
They should get triple damages.

They should also have a recall election and bar all current government from
running again.

Seems that "they" are trying to discourage usage of cash. It's already a fear in some people that if they are carrying cash, and end up being searched or investigated by police, they will have to explain why so-especially if it's a high amount. Then there's this that's becoming the norm. But that's what they want!? Okay, then if they want to go that way, I hope more people move onto Bitcoin instead of CCards.
