Why must you distort your sources. It is as bad as lying. Here is what your source actually says:

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Sunday accepted the resignation of his defence minister who has been under fire over a rout of government forces in the east which led to Kiev calling a ceasefire with pro-Russian separatists

[Edit for brevity. --DJW001]

Mr Heletey, who formerly led a presidential bodyguard unit, had drawn heavy criticism since the crushing defeat of Ukrainian forces at Ilovaisk, east of the main rebel-held eastern city of Donetsk, in late August.

[Edit for brevity. --DJW001]

Analysts say the Aug. 24 attack led Mr Poroshenko reluctantly to accept that Kiev could not beat the separatists militarily as long as they were supported by direct involvement of Russian troops and equipment.
A ceasefire negotiated by Kiev, Moscow and the rebels came into force on Sept. 5. It is still broadly holding despite sporadic violations, especially around Donetsk airport, which is still defended by government forces.

Emphasis mine.

Furthermore, Stepan Poltorak was regular army. The National Guard is not a freebooting militia like the Azov Battalion. Choosing an officer who is an authority on military discipline suggests that the Ukrainian Defense forces will eventually be able to dispense with volunteer units like the Azov.

One more thing I want to add. Our assessment is that Russia can hold off a conventional NATO assault.

There is a big difference in defence and attack.

However a NATO attack on Russia proper will most likely go nuclear in a very short time.

Agreed but only partially. Russian military is no different than Russian society i.e. full of corruption. Its strengths are much hyped and technical sophistication very low when compared to NATO. In 2008 Georgian war, RuAF could not jamm its own Buk system given to Georgi by Ukraine and thus lost a big Tu-22 bomber to the missile. Russian war fighting doctrine is very ground based and reliant of human efforts. There is little regard for soldier lives.

Also, by 2018 the most advanced Aegis 5.0 system will be deployed and this system can handle the sophisticated ICBMs which make sudden moves and turns to throw off the BMD interceptors. This system will use space based sensors to keep the ICBMs under watch to reconfigure the path of the interceptor. Unless more upgrades are made to Russian ICBMs, the nuclear option will also lose its value.

Russians on their own are leaving and settling abroad. Unless Chinese make massive investments in Russia to develop other industries and create jobs, Russian population will keep on shrinking from emigration and low birth rates due to tight financial situations for majority of people other than Oligarchs and others in the top.

Chinese are clever people and know they will be next if Russia goes down. The financing stopped to Russian businesses will soon be replaced by Chinese banks. This way Beijing is helping out and hopefully will do so in other areas also.

Russia’s Vnesheconombank, VTB and Rosselkhozbank, hit by Western sanctions, have attracted financing from the Exim Bank of China.

The question is: why on Earth would NATO want to attack Russia in the first place?

Thats why he had to invent the Nazi stories than we have evil ffascists trying to destroy Russia. This would only work in Russia do to the losses they had on WW 2. See this is still a very big deal in Russia other countries are no longer concerned.

Hitler saw weakness in Russia and he attacked. It took immense losses and efforts from the Russian people to undo the communist rot in the army, that was covered with grand outside layer of propaganda.

NATO is seeing weakness in Russia and is very interested in attacking. NATO knows the corruption induced rot in the Russian society, economy and military. It is waiting for either Russia to implode via economic sanctions and other pressures or find ways to negate its nuclear deterrent.

Why NATO wants to attack Russia...........historically west has had much contempt and despise for Russians. Anytime they see a chance they try their luck. History has proven this several times.

History is not your strong suit is it. First the west disliked Stalin and with good reason. He just took advantage of the allies and ended up doing a land grab unlike the other allies that freed Europe. Second there was the buthering of his own people not to mention others like the polls and ikrainians.

Nato was designed to stop agression from the Russians nothing more. If Nato had not been formed Germany wouldnt exist today suggest you do some reading into the blockade of Berlin and the walls the soviets built maybe than you might understand.

And yet NATO has done nothing that even remotely shows that, but for some reason you seem to think they are why is that?

historically west has had much contempt and despise for Russians.

And Russia hasn't had the same feelings toward America, because I think they have.

Vatican is not the devilish power but it sure seems to have gotten under the pressure of the outside devilish powers like NWO bankers etc.

How come something that Church vehemently refused/denied/banned 20 years ago is turning around and accepting it?

Outside influence? Ungodly practices will be punished by the Creator.

And exactly who are these NWO bankers, and what evidence is there that shows the NWO even exists?

Threatening - yes.

From the end of WWII to the present the USSR / Russia and US have been at odds.

No, from 1948 (when Stalin started the Cold War with blockade of Berlin and occupation of the East) through 1991 (when Yeltsin dissolved the USSR and negotiated peace).

Putin is starting it back up again for his own purposes.

The events of the late 80's-early 90's prove exactly who was at fault: the USSR. There were no democratic western states eager to join the Warsaw Pact and Russia, and yet there were plenty who all decided to go over the other way.

This asymmetry is not accidental.

Wow so I've seen you claim that Nazis run Ukraine and yet you expouse the same garbage. Hitler said the Jews were immoral sub human and destroyed the morals of Arian' . And here you have problems with gays and lesbians and saying the same thing . So do you think they should burn in ovens that was Hitlers solution if you think that Russia opposes gays and lesbians and that its OK to mistreat them than I truly hope Russia becomes extinct .

We no longer live in the dark ages attitudes need to change even the Vatican is realizing there just people to . No I understand why you defend Putin you believe his ideology matches your . Reality is he uses people like you to stay in power all he has to do is create enemies doesn't matter who gays the west or immigrants its all the same preach hate and gain suppor . You made me realize Putin is even closer to Hitler than I though . One last thing you have the right to believe whatever you choose however you do not have the right to impose your morals or judge others based on your beliefs. This makes you no better than Isis or Hitler who believe there morals should apply to all I hope on your journey through life you learn everyone has something to contribute to humanit .

You are suggesting that other defense ministers were not "PROFESSIONAL". In what sense???

What will Poltorak achieve that Heletey could not??

Either Poroshenko is crazy or there is some other design.
