UN Resolution: Israel Must Renounce Nuclear Arms

The Pope Says Nuclear Deterrence Is No Longer A Justifiable Doctrine

"Nuclear deterrence and the threat of mutually assured destruction cannot be the basis for an ethics of fraternity and peaceful coexistence among peoples and states. The youth of today and tomorrow deserve far more…. Peace must be built on justice, socio-economic development, freedom, respect for fundamental human rights, the participation of all in public affairs and the building of trust between peoples."

"I am convinced that the desire for peace and fraternity planted deep in the human heart will bear fruit in concrete ways to ensure that nuclear weapons are banned once and for all, to the benefit of our common home."

My friend; you are tangled in the web of the numbers and patterns.

Stop looking at them as they are before you in their first-taken form.

Step back from it; and use the parts you know to examine the larger whole.

Clarity will come; and though it may be painful and confusing. It is there.

The Bible is NOT the answer. It was merely the questions. The answers you have to work out for yourself.

In reply to the OP's post I would like to mention a few things. Firstly, the 120 Jubilee years begin when Adam and Eve are kicked out of the garden, not at creation. Exodus 20:9-10 says, "Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God." The 6000 years begin when Adam is kicked out and told that he will have to toil all the days of his life. At this point the relationship between God and man changed and the 6000 years of man's governing began.

Secondly, you mentioned the war of Gog and Magog. Many bible teachers think that this is referring to Russia, but the region of Magog is actually in Turkey. Russia is not in this prophecy. please see the following site for references In this war Gog represents the anichrist, and his armies are with him attacking Israel. We know that Gog is the antichrist because in Ez. 38:17 God says, "Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days through my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them?" God said that He has spoken of this person before; this can be no one else but the antichrist. The antichrist is called by many names like the Assyrian, the king of Babylon, the king of the north, Gog, etc. It is a war that occurs in the last half of the 7 years.

And you also mentioned Joel 2. The connection you made between this army and the army from Rev. 9:16 is correct. The army from Joel 2 is the same army released by the 4 angels in Rev. 9 to kill a third of mankind. The similarities between Joel ch. 1 and 2 to Rev. 9 are very close. Joel 1 describes the locust army from Rev. 9:3. Revelation 9:6 says that men will not be able to die from the torment of these locust creatures. This is all mentioned by Isaiah as well in Isaiah 28:15: "Because you have said, 'We have made a covenant with death, and with sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.'" The overwhelming scourge represents the armies we already discussed (the Lord's armies, not man's). The covenant described here is the same from Dan. 9:27, Rev. ch. 17 (woman riding beast), and Daniel 2:43 (the iron mixed with clay that do not hold together). It is a covenant between Israel and the antichrist's kingdom in the middle east (likely for peace). Rev. 17:18 says that the woman is "the great city which reigns over the kings of the earth." Rev. 11:8 identifies the "great city" as jerusalem. In chapter 17 this city is called "Babylon" and in 11:8 jerusalem is "mystically called sodom and egypt." In chapter 17 we are told that this city is seated on 7 mountains, Rev.17:9. The NIV incorrectly translates this as hills, but the greek word used is for mountains. You can verify this by checking better translations of this verse. It is not a reference to Rome. When the Bible uses the term "mountain" symbolically it is a reference to a king, kingdom, or throne. The city described has been connected to 7 kingdoms that exist throughout history. Verse 17:10 confirms this by mimicking the exact language that Daniel used in Dan. 7:17 when he referred to 4 kingdoms as "four kings." John says in verse 10 that five of these kingdoms have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. The first three kingdoms that God's people dealt with are described in Ezekiel ch. 23 with the same language of Rev. 17! In Ezekiel 23, Samaria and Jerusalem are described as the harlots Oholah and Oholibah. It says that these two sisters have committed fornication with Egypt (#1), Assyria (#2), and Babylon (#3). The others are #4 Medo-Persia, #5 Greek Empire, #6 Rome, and #7 Islamic Caliphate. I can go into much more detail and quote verses for 4-7 as well if anyone would like..
Back to the covenant that Isreal makes, it will be a 7 year treaty with the antichrist's empire (Islamic Caliphate). This kingdom is the fourth kingdom mentioned in the prophecies from Daniel chapters 2 and 7. Daniel 2:43 says this kingdom will be like iron mixed with clay because it won't hold together. That represents a treaty between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael (Jewish and Arab people). The beast from Daniel 7 is the same beast as the beast out of the sea from Rev 13. This is why the woman, Jerusalem, is riding the beast. Anyways, I hope this helps someone.

Just a belgian suggestion :
Consider Revelation 13 with a more modern interpretation :
Babylon = Brussels
Why ?
7 hills, checked.
7 gates, checked.
7 kings, 5 are fallen ... checked.
Has to be a church and a kingdom, checked. (Kingdom of Belgium + EU + NATO)

Check by yourself and let me know.
Of course, the beast thing is subject to various intrerpretations.

The method of interpretation that I use is the historical-grammatical method. It tries to determine what the original author's intended meaning was. We are not supposed to guess at what the symbols mean; the Word of God tells you what they mean. John was not talking about 7 literal hills/mountains. That is a consistent way of referring to a kingdom (see Daniel 2:35,44). Also, the 7 kings are also referring to the 7 kingdoms (for an example see Daniel 7:17). These are 7 gentile kingdoms that have opposed God and his people throughout history. Trying to interpret the Bible based on current events can easily lead to error.

These events are clearly a collective behavior of an Archetype seeking to provide a sense of protection and security. The whole system as of today is displaying a dual personality of "Savior" and "Defender". The collective consciousness is dealing with its shadow side where the "Baby" is feeling a lack of security or abandoned by it's "Authority" figure and now lashing back seeking security. The saddest part of this illusion is both forms of theology is "Wandering" around seeking some sense of security and safety from "SOMEONE" or "SOMETHING" outside of themselves. This journey in OZ will end when our kind realize that our actions are connected in a collective type system.

If only religions were obvious about the fact that God(s) like nothing more but letting us deal with the consequences of our own actions.
In the meantime, event will continue to stack until people start realizing what's going on.
Some will have to actually smash their head on the wall in order to stop lamenting.

Therefore, until the Isreali elections take place, here is the rest of the news :

Russia & Iran forge military compact as Iran & Hezbollah vow massive attacks on Israel’s northern tier. Here’s the latest.

Are we heading towards another war between Israel and Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terror movement in Lebanon? Tensions are rapidly rising. Israeli intelligence indicates that Iran and Hezbollah have been planning a series of major attacks against civilians along Israel’s northern border. Now, Israel appears to have taken pre-emptive action, killing an Iranian general and several of his top operatives in an airstrike. Russia and Iran sign military cooperation deal.

Iran and Russia signed an agreement Tuesday to expand military ties in a visit to Tehran by the Russian defense minister.

Sergei Shoigu, in remarks carried by Russian news agencies, said Moscow wants to develop a "long-term and multifaceted" military relationship with Iran. He said that the new agreement includes expanded counter-terrorism cooperation, exchanges of military personnel for training purposes and an understanding for each country's navy to more frequently use the other's ports.

Think this bodes well for Western allies?

Iran's Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan urged greater cooperation as a means of opposing American ambitions in the region. Moscow and Tehran have staunchly supported Syrian President Bashar Assad throughout Syria's civil war, while Washington advocates regime change and supports rebel groups.
"Iran and Russia are able to confront the expansionist intervention and greed of the United States through cooperation, synergy and activating strategic potential capacities," Dehghan said. Unfortunately, War is big business. The people are too distracted to see what is directly infront of them. Has anyone ever wondered what manufacturers are creating the war tools to keep the war machine running? We are living in the SHADOW of what this creation could be. As of today, children minded leaders are in absolute control of our existence. Let's hope one of those immature minds withhold from throwing a global temper tantrum.

What I find interesting with this thread is at first, its structure :
It started with a jewish scripture prediction and ended up with a real life event.
At least we can now openly mix the two in a single thread on ATS.

The jews are the choosen ones ... yeah right.
Readers will probably end up with a totally different perspective later, in the meantime, it is the most distributed and accepted dogma of all the monotheist scriptures. Christian, Muslim and of course Jews are served/serving that one.

Like it or not, should you believe in the one God, you are a racist. It's dogmatic.
Because the idea of an ethnical separation defined by the jewish particuliarism is written everywhere.
Jesus was jewish (as understood by most) but the jews in majority don't follow his teachings because they would have then to renounce to their particuliarism.

What's so special about this jewishness stuff ?
I let everyone make his own mind about the Kabbalah, the Talmud and other jewish only stuff finally openly available now.

As the so-called choosen ones, the scriptures of the Jews should theoritically be far superior to the others, mostly when it comes to the period of the revelation.
At the end of the story, the jews are supposed to be allowed to return on the land of Israel and rebuild their temple.

Not so fast guys ... I happen to live, like all ATS forum member, in a world where there is already such a thing as an Israeli state, that is about to proclaim itself as the jewish state. So who is your prophet ? What was the judgement on Israel ?
Israel the jewish state will be at the center of Israel next elections taking place on the 17th of March.

17th March - St Patrick Day - Israel elections
1st April - April fools day - Palestinians at the ICC

The Israeli citizens will vote and decide about their own fate with no one but them to blame about the consequences.
