In reply to the OP's post I would like to mention a few things. Firstly, the 120 Jubilee years begin when Adam and Eve are kicked out of the garden, not at creation. Exodus 20:9-10 says, "Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God." The 6000 years begin when Adam is kicked out and told that he will have to toil all the days of his life. At this point the relationship between God and man changed and the 6000 years of man's governing began.

Secondly, you mentioned the war of Gog and Magog. Many bible teachers think that this is referring to Russia, but the region of Magog is actually in Turkey. Russia is not in this prophecy. please see the following site for references mobile.wnd.com... In this war Gog represents the anichrist, and his armies are with him attacking Israel. We know that Gog is the antichrist because in Ez. 38:17 God says, "Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days through my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them?" God said that He has spoken of this person before; this can be no one else but the antichrist. The antichrist is called by many names like the Assyrian, the king of Babylon, the king of the north, Gog, etc. It is a war that occurs in the last half of the 7 years.

And you also mentioned Joel 2. The connection you made between this army and the army from Rev. 9:16 is correct. The army from Joel 2 is the same army released by the 4 angels in Rev. 9 to kill a third of mankind. The similarities between Joel ch. 1 and 2 to Rev. 9 are very close. Joel 1 describes the locust army from Rev. 9:3. Revelation 9:6 says that men will not be able to die from the torment of these locust creatures. This is all mentioned by Isaiah as well in Isaiah 28:15: "Because you have said, 'We have made a covenant with death, and with sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.'" The overwhelming scourge represents the armies we already discussed (the Lord's armies, not man's). The covenant described here is the same from Dan. 9:27, Rev. ch. 17 (woman riding beast), and Daniel 2:43 (the iron mixed with clay that do not hold together). It is a covenant between Israel and the antichrist's kingdom in the middle east (likely for peace). Rev. 17:18 says that the woman is "the great city which reigns over the kings of the earth." Rev. 11:8 identifies the "great city" as jerusalem. In chapter 17 this city is called "Babylon" and in 11:8 jerusalem is "mystically called sodom and egypt." In chapter 17 we are told that this city is seated on 7 mountains, Rev.17:9. The NIV incorrectly translates this as hills, but the greek word used is for mountains. You can verify this by checking better translations of this verse. It is not a reference to Rome. When the Bible uses the term "mountain" symbolically it is a reference to a king, kingdom, or throne. The city described has been connected to 7 kingdoms that exist throughout history. Verse 17:10 confirms this by mimicking the exact language that Daniel used in Dan. 7:17 when he referred to 4 kingdoms as "four kings." John says in verse 10 that five of these kingdoms have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. The first three kingdoms that God's people dealt with are described in Ezekiel ch. 23 with the same language of Rev. 17! In Ezekiel 23, Samaria and Jerusalem are described as the harlots Oholah and Oholibah. It says that these two sisters have committed fornication with Egypt (#1), Assyria (#2), and Babylon (#3). The others are #4 Medo-Persia, #5 Greek Empire, #6 Rome, and #7 Islamic Caliphate. I can go into much more detail and quote verses for 4-7 as well if anyone would like..
Back to the covenant that Isreal makes, it will be a 7 year treaty with the antichrist's empire (Islamic Caliphate). This kingdom is the fourth kingdom mentioned in the prophecies from Daniel chapters 2 and 7. Daniel 2:43 says this kingdom will be like iron mixed with clay because it won't hold together. That represents a treaty between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael (Jewish and Arab people). The beast from Daniel 7 is the same beast as the beast out of the sea from Rev 13. This is why the woman, Jerusalem, is riding the beast. Anyways, I hope this helps someone.

The method of interpretation that I use is the historical-grammatical method. It tries to determine what the original author's intended meaning was. We are not supposed to guess at what the symbols mean; the Word of God tells you what they mean. John was not talking about 7 literal hills/mountains. That is a consistent way of referring to a kingdom (see Daniel 2:35,44). Also, the 7 kings are also referring to the 7 kingdoms (for an example see Daniel 7:17). These are 7 gentile kingdoms that have opposed God and his people throughout history. Trying to interpret the Bible based on current events can easily lead to error.

These events are clearly a collective behavior of an Archetype seeking to provide a sense of protection and security. The whole system as of today is displaying a dual personality of "Savior" and "Defender". The collective consciousness is dealing with its shadow side where the "Baby" is feeling a lack of security or abandoned by it's "Authority" figure and now lashing back seeking security. What I find interesting with this thread is at first, its structure :
It started with a jewish scripture prediction and ended up with a real life event.
