Oh man. I recognize those meds from my studies and the three all have side effects if taken long term. I think you need to talk to a doctor about this, one that can help wean you off of them while trying to adjust your diet to compensate for these. They may know how to help you with adjustments with your diet to deal with side effects too.

I scan the chemistry of these meds to see what chemistry they are trying to change, but with four pills, I can't evaluate how they are attempting to fix it. Someone with a pharmacutical background could maybe tell you more, I bet we have a few Pharma people here on ATS that may be able to help with this. But to have this knowledge you would have to be a researcher, most doctors would not have the knowledge of this except specialists in this field who have an interest in finding how exactly this works.

Please, try to be positive.

I read your post and looked at your Avatar. A dog. I am sure dogs don't like getting their nuts cut.
How pertinent

Blame the meds first.

Fire your Doctor (yourself) because you need a Professional urologist.

I hope this goes away for you...

There's nothing to be embarrassed about, it will happen to all of us eventually.

I'm 30 and i've got numerous ailments and that are I swear they are working together just to p!$$ me off, like my Costochondritis which gives me chest pains, and the anxiety makes me think that I'm having a heart attack every time.

And then there's the hereditary Glaucoma and arthritis to consider, and I'm hoping that the Glaucoma hits first so I can't see the Arthritis coming

I've learned to laugh in the face of adversity and I hope that it can work for you.

You're a few years younger than me, CW. I, like another poster, always assumed you were at least a decade older! Way to nail the whole wisdom deal early, buddy

And to the other poster dogging you: lay off & have some class. It's not a flipping contest as to who has it worse in life, he's entitled to post & vent about medical issues that are taking a self-confidence toll & get a little support if/when given, so let him be.

CW, I'd be feeling just as bummed out as you are if I had to deal with incontinence. We're younger, and these things are supposed to be years off yet before we face them. It's a self-confidence crusher to have to face a bladder that doesn't want to play nice. My grandma is in her 80's and has bladder control issues, and it really bothers her and chips at her self-confidence even though it's expected at her age. So you have every right to vent yourself, it's indeed embarrassing at any age, even if no one else knows.
Here's to finding an effective remedy

Dude, I feel ya with feeling like crap. I feel like I should get myself fixed too sometimes to just not be able to pass on the health issues. Of my 8 half siblings, I am the one with the majority of health problems. Genetics scraped the bottom of the health barrel for me.

My worst problems are Lupus and Celiac Disease. I feel for ya. Good luck in the future of getting better.

Listen to some of this guy's lectures on health and wellness. He's "just a chiropractor", but people come from all over
the globe to see him. He dispenses more free info than anyone I've ever seen. Someone I know went in for a consultation, he got them on the road to healing very quickly, and charged them almost nothing.

He has a ton of vids on YouTube.

Sorry to read that. Diet... or genetic predisposition... the two major factors. The cocktail of drugs to level you out mentally have their cause, too, I'd imagine.

The vitamin promoters aren't totally nuts when it comes to modern diets being crap... the main culprit in degeneration of bodily function is too little vit C, for instance.

It's main function is as a collagen builder... the stuff that holds us together, and one molecule of ascorbic acid builds one molecule of collagen. Muscle tone, skin elasticity, etc. Working the muscles involved around the bladder and urethra and having enough of the physical stuff to build new muscle seems prudent.

People eating a modern diet with no supplementation are simply not getting enough.

The advice to be thankful you aren't worse off is well and good, but there are approaches to research that might be labelled 'fringe,' but are not necessarily bunk. Orthomolecular medicine is one of those things... I wish you well.

Bitch and moan a little, but dust off, pick yourself up and get back at it, man!

I had neck surgery before I was 30, live with chronic migraine and have had them since I was in grade school, now have developed a bone spur in my neck, and it is a lucky day for me if I get through it without some kind of chronic pain. I am typing with a big heat pad on my neck as I sit here.

I here you that it gets to you. I know how it gets to you. Some days, I want to curl up in the corner and cry and just tell the world to go take a flying leap.

First, find a good doc who will work with you, really work with you, and listen to what you are telling him or her. Then, start getting it all sorted out so you can get the best out of life you can because we'd all miss you if you left it, and this negativity isn't going to help you sort it all out.

Hang in there! It can only get so bad before it has to start getting better.

Not sure I'm getting what you're saying, but it can be a diuretic, if that's what you mean.

Here's an idea to toss at your doctor the next time you see him/her:

Have them check your thyroid, as well as get them to refer you to an Endocrinologist.

The many symptoms you describe (including IBS) can also be associated with a thyroid that's not functioning properly.

There's no such thing as having just one autoimmune disorder... once you have one, it opens the flood gates to many more others as time progresses if not properly diagnosed in the early stages.

This isn't a freaking contest.

If someone is ill and wants to seek advice it doesn't matter what ailment they have. The OP isn't throwing a pity party. Someone who is depressed shouldn't have to compare the reason to other people. Someone who wants a cold remedy shouldn't have to be quiet because you know someone who has AIDS. I don't hop on a car forum and ask how to top off my blinker fluid and expect some idiot response about how other people have a blown motor so I shouldn't complain.

You owe the OP an apology.

-----

OP I have no answers for you. I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through, and genuinely wish you the best. I don't know your circumstances or situation, but if possible, it might behoove you to get some other opinions.

I think you handled some very unfortunate responses with aplomb, and that you DO actually have a positive attitude. Asking for help isn't whining. I'd be upset too if I was dealing with that list. You were a class act. Good on you.

It's always good to have a positive attitude, but I would have hoped those that were trying to communicate that could have done so without acting like complete T&C violations.

Two things that seem to help everything...

Drink more water, exercise more.

O I had thyroid tests in the past due to my other problems and thyroid issues run in the family too. So far mine working fine.
