Wow, that feeling I will never forget. A pleasant surprise and a moment of disbelief when some tells you you have won.

I always thought I would never be the Lucky one to win a decent award or prize. But then it happened...

First I will tell you about the very first time I won a prize. I was about 7 years old and entered an eastern egg finding match. It was at summer camp...in a forrest they had hidden hardboiled eggs with numbers painted on them. The first prize was for the egg with number 1 on it second with number 2 .. and so on.

There were about some 30 children joining me trying to find these hidden eggs. And guess what..? I did find the egg with the number 1 painted on it. If you only knew how much joy I felt inside me, as a 7 year old kid this joyfull emotion was a knew experiance for me. There were many different toys from which I had first choice. My first choice was the remote control race car.

Second significant prize I won went as followed... early in the morning I came home from a night on the town and had a few to many. Because the world was turning as soon as I closed my eyes I could not sleep and turned on the TV. When the TV came on there was a quiz going on and if a viewer knew the answer to a puzzle he or she could call a certain number and when Lucky come straight into the TV-program.

I Always considered it some kind of scam and did not belief I could ever be that lucky... But hey... I had nothing to do, knew the answer of the puzzle and a bit crazy that moment. So I called just for fun... And guess what...? I was live in the TV program.. I made a quick 1000 euro's.

Not much later my girlfriend asked me if I had a good reason to fly with airline company Martinair to Curaçao . This airline company opened up a route from Amsterdam to the Nertherlands Antilles. I entered a few words and guess what...? I won a return ticket. With that 1000 euro's in my pocket I had a swell vacation..

I really hope my luck will return soon because I can use a good holliday, new car, house, boat....soon.

Thank you Jesus.

How did your luck look like...?

I've been lucky a couple of times. I Won Photoshop 3 (when it was new) at Mac World. And I won an IPod at Photoshop World. (I use to be employed in Graphics, currently un-employed, can't win a job in a raffle) Maybe should look for "Job World."

I would have won a million if Earnheart Sr. just pushed his dang car over the finish line, but nooooooo punk Gorden won. Sr. was too lazy to push the car in neutral. He only had an inch to go when his tire blew out.

I like to play the instant win sweepstakes online when I'm bored at work.

In about 6 months time, I won a $75 grocery card, about $90 of Jack's Links Beef Jerky, and a box of Godiva chocolates worth $30.

I called into a radio show once with an answer to a trivia question and won 4 tickets to Six Flags.

I won a laptop once. It was before my divorce so when we were waiting for fireworks and the person on stage couldn't pronounce the last name it caught our attention.

It was from godaddy.com and I was trying to win a tshirt. No one expects to win the big prize ! They were really cool, they gave me the third too.

When I was 13 yrs of age (1971) my friend and I bought a farm market raffle ticket for 50 cents. I had no money so I said I would pay him .25 the next Day. We wanted the 2nD prize which was a big stereo system so we could go into business and sponsor Dances at school.

Next Day arrives and he calls me to see if I have the .25 so I met him at the park with it. He then said that he got a call that morning to pick up our prize...surprise!

We went to the market with the ticket but we never won the stereo but rather 1st prize...A lawn mower tractor...

Within a few minutes a guy came up and offered $600 for it. No brainer here. We sold for cash on the spot, went into the city that afternoon on the bus, bought a stereo and 20 albums each.

We were in business!

Peace

I won $5500.00 on a random scratch off five years ago, which also qualified me for a Top Prize Drawing for a Million!

Took the State 6 weeks to send the check and after taxes it amounted to $3600 and some change. Still a nice chunk of change though and I was happy. Two days later, my truck took a dump and *POOF!* it was gone repairing the darn thing. I still look back though and thank god I had that money when I did, otherwise I really would have been screwed.

Still awaiting the Top Prize Drawing to be held though all these years later. That would be sweet. It would get me out of what little debt I have and help my family with theirs immensely.

Come on Lottery Commision, close that game down and hold the TPD! Five years is a long wait! Only 150 TPD tickets sold, so it's a 1 in 150 chance that life could take a turn for the better. BTW, I live simple and would continue to do so...even if I won the Mega-Millions. I don't need much and I get a kick out of helping others.

I have won one prize once in my whole life, and i think its because they felt sorry for me haha it was back in 2000, i was 9 and in a childrens hospital because i had just been in a car accident and was in there for quite awhile because of internal bleeding, anyway they had competitions everyday where you could win prizes so i was telling them how i had never won anything before and the comp was to design a video game,'mine was a mario style game that was replaced by babies and all baby items lol and i won.. I sometimes win small amounts on lotto tickets but thats it i never win anything in competitions or raffles! I was at a pure romance party recently with my friends and i had the most raffle tickets for this draw and i still didn't win, i never win anything like that ever, my sister on the other hand wins everrrything!! So unfair! lol.

Yep! Happens every time I seem to get ahead. I'm at the point now that I get extremely nervous when things are going my way. No joke.

Same here! Im exactly the same! Infact things were going really well for me a couple months ago, everything just seemed too good, it was all going my way and financially i was doing great i had come in too money and i had no stress so not what im used too at all! and i said too a few people that know i have the worst luck that this won't last because in my whole life it never has and boom had all this stuff was going wrong and stuff breaking as usual. Sometimes i feel like i chose the hard road in life with thousands of curveballs because that is how its always been for me! Always something keeping me from getting ahead too.

I haven't won anything huge, and nothing can really beat finding $122 in the street, and getting to keep it (even though the police made me wait six months instead of the three they originally told me).

There were two prizes that do come to mind though; both shocked me. The first was that my high-school did a raffle every now & then, where one teacher's classroom would be picked, and someone from that class would get a prize. Well, I seemed to be a teacher's pet in this class where the raffle was, because my name was the first one this teacher pulled out. Ended up getting $50 in bookstore money, and another $25 in a local restaurant.

The second was planned, but I did win it fairly - Upon leaving high school, I got the Sousa Award, which is given out to someone who devoted a lot of time to the music-related classes. Well, as my teacher was describing the person, I was basically sitting there not even thinking about it (reason being was that there were several other people that were going into a music-related degree, where this award would have a lot of merit). Finally, it dawned on me that I was the one getting the award - when I had to get up and accept it.

Apart from those two times, I'm still waiting for the million-dollar jackpot, so that I can pay my college off, and donate the rest.

I expect to be winning the lottery soon... But in the past I have won:

*Natalie Imbruglia "Left of the Middle" CD from calling into a local radio station

*a trip to Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas to see Jewel in concert(which I was too young to redeem, so my parents got to go- and they didn't even go to the show! I was not happy)- from radio station sweepstakes box at the gas station...I think I loaded that box with multiple entries lol

*I hit a $2,000+ jackpot on a quarter machine at the casino about 5 years ago. (It was cool- the siren on the machine turned on- a revolving light... everyone watching me. The casino manager took a polaroid picture of me and my machine and put it in a commemorative card)

And that's about all I can think of at the moment- but I will update this post when I cash in my multi million dollar lotto ticket!!!

I've won $750 and $250 prizes at bingo, both on a 'double six-pack' game. Several times i have won $100 lottery scratcher games. Once i won 3rd row, center stage tickets to a Reba McEntire concert. Sold those to a friend for $100. I once won a tin of cookies at a company christmas dinner. Oh, and when i was around 10, i won a halloween costume contest as the most original costume. I went as 'Mammy Yokum' from the Lil Abner comic strip. The prize was 3 pounds of candy.

When I was a little girl my parents went off one morning to do a regular grocery shop at a large supermarket. They came home to tell us that within a few days a new washing machine and freezer were going to be delivered.

The store had decided to do a prize promotion in a really silly way - they had a guy standing in front of the store on a little platfrom randomly throwing tickets with prizes on. The shoppers soon caught on and started to crowd around the guy. They started to get out of control and jostle and push trying to grab the flying tickets. This had built up before my parents arrived and as they approached the store was the moment the chaos climaxed. The poor guy with the tickets was knocked off balance - right into my father's arms, dropping ALL his tickets into my father's hands. My dad brushed the guy off and handed back all his tickets... but for two, one for a washing machine and one for a freezer.

I once won an Easter hamper of chocolate goodies but was not allowed to claim my prize. It was a little church or school fundraising raffle organised by my mom. I was only about 8 at the time and she had bought a ticket in the name of each of her children to contribute towards the fundraising effort, not expecting any of us to win. When I did she felt it would look rigged so she felt bad about giving me the prize. I was really cross with her but she made it up to me by getting me some non-prize chocolate!
