Our love joins us together. Generosity makes others happier.

The world may judge you as weak or a fool for your kindness but it is worth it if it means putting smiles on the faces of others and making the world a happier place which means you will be happier to.

What is God's true name? Charity. A love that gives, selfless love - agape - Whatever name fills you with compassion because that is how we know God's loving presence.

The Golden rule thing would work well if everyone would use it....

IMO part of the trouble is...people seem to have a very difficult time feeling empathy for the ones they love let alone for their enemies and of course the enemy never feels any empathy either so.......

In my mind part of the definition of "Beast" as it is used in scripture refers to a state of being less than human...
A state of mind that is only concerned with self-preservation and survival....that is the selfishly motivated "beast" state of mind.

So what you have right now in this World is that a large part of the population do not qualify as human....
these "people" have allowed themselves to degenerate into a way of being that is purely beast like...

As intelligent as human beings can be...without empathy and compassion we are nothing more than clever animals.

It's like egoism vs. altruism.

empathy is a slippery slope. Too much leads to constant sorrow and that point of realization that nothing you are doing seems to matter over time most deeds revert into biting one in the rear. My point is that a balance must be found before you realize that every breath you take goes against something or someone.

Every breath you take goes to the trees and the trees give off oxygen. I'm not talking about self-torture, I'm talking about practical ways to show that you care for others and love to see a smile on their faces.

The solution to the vast majority of mankind's problems is simple; Love.

Imagine a problem facing yourself, society, a nation, and mankind at large, whether it be ethical, social, moral, financial, economic, diplomatic, environmental, etc. Now think deeply as to how a lack of Love caused the problem, and how acts of Love can fix it.

Love is not a thing that can be mandated or regulated at large, but rather, it is found within each individual. Love must be cultivated within ourselves and then spread, shared, and manifest to the outer world around us. This individual work of inner-Love will strengthen with the Love of others. The individuals who carry Love can be likened unto a beautiful lake who manifests through the joining together of a multitude of individual water droplets. It is only through Love that our individual selves are complete and mankind becomes whole.

I agree with this. And also, starting to act your community is a family. If enough people with funds, or business ideas, inspiration banded up, they could get together and repair a shut in's roof, ensure food from aquaponics went out weekly, not every 2 months like sally ann, got business start ups for teens and taught them skills, apprenticeships. In fact they could learn to do the repairs. Not leave anyone in dire straights, turn your community into one big extended family eco farm. Love is also some unity, and solving some problems like family and friends would.
