Because it effects all of us, but I don't care either way now as the amount of anti English sentiment I've seen since this all started is disgusting. I've seen more YES campaign propaganda on Facebook than anything else.

Wonder what you will all do if the Shetland Islands decide to remain part of the UK? Falklands 2?

But it's not about you, don't you get that? For once it's not about England. It's democracy!!

Just about fell off my chair there...the BBC just broke the news that an iScotland would be like 30's America during the Great Depression. What a load of absolute nonsense!

Why just state it's the BBC that broke the news ? I see some bias on your part.

All newspapers are carrying the story

www.heraldscotland.com...

I think i would believe more of what the chief economist of one of the worlds largest banks has to say than any SNP politician. What do they know about financial matters? Bugger all i would say.

Maybe they want *more* than to be a slave?

Tip o' the ol' hat to Bob Gedolf and co!

Another Piece of Red

I was reading in New Zealand about Ian Smith
I was thinking they were lucky to be rid of that #.
The people here can still believe in stiff lips and stiff collars
They're speaking deals in English
But they're making deals in dollars.
They're breaking up an empire
Nobody's buying British
They're calling for an umpire
Nobody's playing cricket
The flags are coming down everybody stands saluting
But somewhere in the distance, I can hear somebody shooting.

And another piece of red left my atlas today.

It's so long Hong Kong and no more Singapore
Those steaming nights of Malta
Goodbye Gibraltar
I'll give you arms for Africa
I'm hungry for India
The sun's set on Australia
And vive le Canada

Theyre breaking up an empire
Nobody's buying British
Calling for an umpire
It really isn't cricket
The flags are coming down
There's a minimum of looting
Somewhere in the distance I can see somebody shooting
And another piece of red left my atlas today.........

Yeah, sure, trust the bankers. Of course they will bring up doom that a situation similar will happen in Scotland as it did with the Great Depression. BTW the Great Depression was engineered to happen. If the bankers want to make Scotland out the same, they will do so, despite any positive results of the independence.

Because i had the BBC on at the time lol. How is that bias? It was said matter of factly in terms of the headline. And of course its all over the papers, and rightly so. The Herald has "Yes 'depression' claim."

"Banker" and "trust". Theres a volatile mix, as volatile as "politician" and "trust".

Wrong word.

ALL politicians are liars. If Salmond says " Scotland will be fine after independence" you can bet it won't be.

So the same goes for better together then? Or are you bias?

We are together NOW, so you can see the evidence for yourself. If Scotland goes independent it won't be long before we find out if it's all lies coming out of Salmonds mouth.

I am about as useful to this conversation as a stick in the butt....

but

I dont want to see Scotland go independent. I am a huge brave heart fan like many but we are talking about preserving the UK in tact. The peoples of the UK will be better off as a whole and united.

I can tell you from my experience with Spanish separatists that it is all political positioning and BS caused by outsiders.

Dont fall prey to the BS of a few ambitious men vying for a land of their own to rule over.

Keep the UK united.
