Well anytime you see Jupiter (The Bull of Heaven) being depicted prominently that should give you a pretty strong indication of the timeline of events. As he's a fairly recent player in the Cosmology of Man's Written record. Jupiter in the bowl moves left-right though sky (with a crescent, lit by our current sun) - This particular story appears to be telling of the retreat of Jupiter into the Asteroid Belt (2850BC). (or rather simply getting smaller in dimension above Earth)

Entry into the asteroid belt caused a religious crisis in Egypt. The first dynasty was replaced by the second. After about 300 years, Jupiter exited the asteroid belt in about 2550 BC. Jupiter assumes the image of a God with ram’s horns. After clearing the asteroid belt, Jupiter would again develop a mountainous lower plasma outpouring in an attempt to reach equilibrium with the electric field of the Sun in far outer space.

it might be of interest to quote Plutarch’s brief description, from Zoroastrian sources, of the God Ahura-mazda (who is Jupiter). In Isis and Osiris, (AD 200) he writes:

"Then Oromazes [Ahura-mazda, Jupiter]enlarged himself to thrice his former size, and removed himself as far distant from the Sun as the Sun is distant from the Earth, and adorned the heaven with the dog-star. [Venus]"

Mercury, with a tail (or a beak, in some iconography) continues to scurry back and forth as a messenger of the removed Gods. (Seen as the animal in lower left of bowl) Mercury became the God of the air in Mesopotamia due to its close proximity to earth.

Mercury started to appear with Mars (Warrior with Bow at bottom right) close to Earth about 80 years after 3147 BC. Mars will become the most important God, Horus, of the Egyptians over the next 300 years, the reincarnation of Osiris (Saturn).

Thanks for the reply

Firstly you copied most of the material from above from here:

Site from which material was taken

It's a good idea to always link to where you are taking material from and its also a good idea not to try and portray other peoples material as your own.

To the material itself - it comes from Recovering the Lost World, A Saturnian Cosmology a book by Jno Cook

Not to sure why you think this applies to bowl? It would appear to me to be more an overview of the many things that might happen in a man's life but one could see where some sorta religious aspect could be implied.

There are some extremely interesting, and somewhat bizarre elements to the artwork on the gold vase!

First, the animals are depicted with "muscle lines" that show point of contact to bone [via sinew] - which is where you would cut to severe the meat from the bone. the art on the vase also shows where the major "meat" cuts would be for butchering. I get the impression the animals were "gilded with value" by showing their meat cuts, as in a butcher shop. it is as if they are showing the meat value of each species.

Secondly, they clearly show where the tendons connect to bone and what the butchered meat piece would be in the human's legs! Those are not muscle lines. Those show a specific piece of meat and where it touches the bone. The forearms of the people depicted, however, show no "muscle" or "meat" at all, and are very skinny. Of course, mostly sinew, it is unlikely that a people who ate meat would eat the sinewy forearms. They are depicted so thin in the artwork, because they have no "meat" value. The rest of the human bodies are covered, so we cant see the meat cuts as we can on the animals. These people were cannibals.

Thirdly, the animals depicted drawing the chariot ARE NOT horses. They are some type of thin, deer-like ox that apparently is now extinct, but as domesticated for chariot/cart pulling.

Last, there is a swastika on the butt of what appears to be a saber-toothed lion. The swastika goes beyond Nepal and Nazis.

My interpretation of this vase/bowl/whatever, is that the figures represent mythic beings [gods] and great heroes [or kings] and a story or stories are being told in the images.
