The why is because the girl is a racist and a bully. She can act as white as she wants, who cares. White people can act as black as they want. Who cares.

It's amazing what crap some people report and get all irate about. And Spider is on the money, there are thousands of white on white crimes every day and yet no one brings race into that.

You said stop it the racism or as it's called shadism in the Black community but that individual deed is done so how do you go about stopping the next assault born out of pure ignorance, you do that with education either as individual one on one parenting or in a class rm setting or both, meaning knowing the where,when and why all that mess started.

And I agree, it takes education. In order for that to happen the black community needs to recognize there is a problem. There is. Our PC culture makes it a taboo subject though. You can see the people here saying this is no big deal and who cares.

When black people want to intentionally look whiter through the use of special products it pisses me off. My wife is a Filipina, and they all want to whiten their skin. It's not allowed, I find the act disgusting, she was born with the perfect skin color.

This whole black and white culture is crap, we are all Americans, and if someone is into things you are not into, don't hang out with them, that simple.

They do and are fighting back but pop culture and advertisers make that an up hill battle,and it also hit folks in the white community especially females with lip injections with ass fat, putting silicon in their booty where when I was a kid a big booty was appreciated by mostly Blacks and Latin males it seemed off putting to white males,today there is a shift,why?? advertisers and their use of cultural icons,media pushes self hate or at least a wish to be other than who you are the primary target in this are females although males do fell prey to this also,there was no satisfactory reason a Black man as successful as Micheal Jackson should ended up looking like a pale skinned white female something somewhere went wrong,same with Sammy Sosa .

I agree with basically all of that. I just don't think that is what this story is about. But you are absolutely right. When I was in the PI I saw the advertisements for the whitening soap, it pissed me off.

I don't know but in the school I taught at (inner city). Acting white was the slur given to kids who kept their heads on their shoulders, did their homework, behaved in school and tried to get their education and basically did what any other well-adjusted American kid would do - respect the teacher, do the work, take it seriously.

So, I guess "acting white" means generally trying to make something successful of yourself.

And yes, I understand that the roots were black men and women who tried to "pass" in the white man's world because they were light skinned enough to do so, but it doesn't matter now. The thing it's become generally means anyone who wants to fit into successful American society in general instead of join the gang banging thug life which really seems to be working out well for the majority of African-Americans who pursue it.

The entire point the OP was making, the point that you and Spider have missed, is that--the media ONLY reports crimes as being racially motivated when a white person attacks a black person.

The media spins it as acts of racism. The point is that, I could come home from work one day only to find that my wife has been shot in the living room and my 3 year old daughter is being raped by a black dude.

Now, the fact that the man is black in this hypothetical situation is completely irrelevant. I don't care if l walked into this situation and found another White man, a hispanic, or an Asian..they would ALL equally die. Period. My motivation being the ptoection of my family, and the anger that I would feel at the harm that has been inflicted.

But, if the man were Black and I shot him, the media would run the story as "White male kills young-black college student, was his use of force called for?"

The media, regardless of my ACTUAL motivation, would accuse me of racism, and I would be forever slandered simply for protecting my family.

If the attacker were another white man, there would never be any mention of race at all...the story would barely even make the news.

The media is perpetuating racial stereotypes. They are increasing the division between us with their poor use of logical fallacies (in this case, they are poisoning the well). As long as they continue doing this, black people are going to continue to be angry in situations where no anger is needed.

Some white people are racists, and some crimes committed by white people are racially motivated. But at the same time, some black people are racists, and some crime committed by black people are also racially motivated.

The media needs to stop poisoning the well, and they need to OBJECTIVELY report hate crimes when they ACTUALLY happen...and they need to stop ignoring the cases that don't further their PC agendas.

I get that media can exacerbate things after all it makes for great viewer response which translates into advertising dollars,but if the point is the media does not feature racist attacks by blacks on whites and what the law actually do about those attacks then we are talking about two different things, it's been often repeated that Blacks do not get charged with hate crimes is simply false, and another complaint is "black on black" crimes is never seen or reported on made me wonder are we living on the same planet, many of us here remember the series COPS,they would take their cameras to the some hot spots in some poor black communities and show black youngsters getting jack-up and hand cuffed so much so one would think crime happens no where else,the young picks this up and believe this is what I am supposed to be ,this is what black is,whites and others who have negative stereotypes about blacks will have their stereotypes confirmed. Black man can't get a loan from the bank because they don't think he would pay it back. A white man couldn't move into Compton or Detroit because he would be robbed, beaten into a coma, car stolen and overall harassed. That's the way I see it. I don't want your sob story about this so called institutionalized racism you are going on about that is still apparently affecting every black person in this country, including my ex girlfriend whose single mother is holding down a rent payment, loaning out her other house in Florida and paying for my ex-girlfriends car. Yep, the institution is against her too, this successful BLACK woman straight out of Shreveport Louisiana who worked hard all her life, the world is against her.
