I want my emoticons back!

I'll make this short and sweet. I want my emoticons back! BACK, BACK, BACK!

The old one's were a bandwidth problem from what I recall was said in the BB forum during the site upgrade but I don't care. These emo's are driving me insane, I have to do a mouse over just to tell what half of them are.

What are these? (no cheating)

Emoticons have been described as a universal language but I'm feeling muted. Surely if we can post animated gif's we can have an emo that looks like a real emo.

These emoticons are definitely some of the lamer ones I have ever seen. I can't see emoticons having that much of a bandwidth issue. If anything is a bandwidth issue, it's the advertising on this site. I can say for a fact there's about 30-40 different marketing scripts on this site.

You are correct. Last i counted it was 43 scripts. suck that bandwidth up!

I agree with you, i cant tell what half of them are at all.

But then most people dont use them anymore anyway so they dont come up very often, people tend to stick to the basics now, smile, big smily, sad face, beer and such.

I wouldnt mind a change out of the graphics to more obvious versions of what we have.

I like using them myself. They are highly descriptive and can change the entire meaning of a paragraph when used correctly. I wasn't kidding about them being a universal language and read an article about it the other day. These small graphics can actually bridge between languages.

I miss the cheerleading smiley, I used to get trolled by someone who used that one over and over again in huge numbers on another site. It always made me laugh big time and made trolls even more funny.

I agree with the OP 1000%. I like the medal one, and the go mods - but the rest?

Can some mod PLEASE at least explain WHY we can't have them back??
