Well, the cuts were not surgical or anything. With Mary Kelly he made a mess, anyone could have done that. I guess with some knowledge of anatomy from an anatomy book someone with the will and strenght could have done it.
What I'm pretty sure is he lived in the area and people knew him. They were looking for strangers to blame when in fact he was probably in front of their eyes all the time.

Patricia Cornwell's book, Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper - Case Closed, proved that Walter Sickert was Jack the Ripper (in the opinion of Patricia and her team) She did some great detective work, and her evidence is VERY strong. For anyone interested in this case, it's worth a read. My only problem with the book is; Patricia Cornwell enjoys describing gore and murder way too much.

The stamps are one spec out of a heap of evidence. That is actually one thing I remember the least from the book. Did you read it?

He was in England during the murders and stayed at Inn's where the killings took place, same cartoon doodles drawn in Sickerts Hotel check in's and personal notes match up with doodles drawn in the Ripper letters. Some of the doodles were adapted from a comic Sickerts father drew when Sickert was a child. The writing samples in the book look the same to me; with the wierd curly ends of all the letters. Some of the Ripper letters were signed "Nemo" which was a stage name Sickert used for himself years earlier when he tried to be an actor and failed.
Sickert went through a series of horribly painful penis operations as a child, where he was given no pain medication and remembers screaming bloody murder while being held down by female nurses as he was operated on, before passing out from pain. He then developed a known hatred of women, and had a deformed penis that he was very ashamed of.....and yes there is much more evidence in the book, too much to write it out. Anyone interested in the case should give it a read.
