I am curious about tax policy i want to do a survey with several threads.

Fair tax. Even across the board. How would this help the economy and jobs?

Failed attempt I wanted to know HOW? Exactly. Step by step how it gets there.

I don't think you will find a lot of low income earners who will consider that a fair tax. If you take ten percent from a guy who makes $100,000 a year he will still be able to afford shelter, food, etc. You take ten percent from a guy who makes $25,000 a year and that could mean the difference between keeping the lights on or living in the dark.

I think the best answer is a sales tax. Anyone who buys anything, whether they are rich or poor, legal or illegal, whatever, will contribute to the economy. But you cant go insane with the tax or you will strangle the low income earners just like a flat tax would. At least a sales tax captures revenue from illegals that might otherwise go unnoticed.

There's no such thing as a "fair" tax.

All taxes are authoritarian and progressive.
