So, your "dumb" kids are actually potentially going to be your best ones unless you provide an outlet for them, but this curriculum doesn't do
that.
What? My "dumb" kids? I went back to my post to look for where I talked about "dumb" kids and the word didn't appear in my post anywhere.
Here's the fact: MATH IS POWER. It doesn't matter what level your at: arithmetic, algebra, pre-calc, whatever. When you focus you mind on learning
more, it makes your mind sharp like a knife, ready to cut through the BS being put forward to the PTB. The common core is an attempt to make kids
think more like math adepts. And in the long run, I think it will be good for the kids. But again, lets hold off and wait to see what the long term
test results say, then we'll make informed judgements.
