-You need to learn more about the Sunni/Shia, Arab/Kurd divides.
-you overestimate the power of the US & underestimate the tyranny of Qaddafi the pedophilic sadist, and the will of the arab people.

Stop watching too much Russia today

Actually the point of writing they yelled "Allah Akbar" was not yo degrade but to leverage that with the fact no one says "Allah Akbar" in the ISIS beheadings. No I don't consider it stupidity.

I am glad you agree, anybody who actually knows a fair bit about the situation will realise ISIS actually arises as a result of the US not being the superpower it once was, it no longer strikes fear into all nations.

People give the USA too much Kudos, poor Arabs, they never get the credit on ATS even for their OWN creations, talk about a racial prejudice hahahahah

ISIS has arrived because the American government armed them enough to be a threat. You think they just miraculously acquired the capability to assault half of Iraq and Syria?

Your entire rebuttal was apologetic to western leaders for their continuous meddling in the Middle East. Who cares if they didn't know it would blow up in their face. But if it blows up EVERY time the meddle there made they should get a new day job and stop making the world a more dangerous place?

Some People.

They acquired weapons from the US yes, but I believe it was actually chronic misjudgment by the US that led to that.
Also don't forget they have conquered multiple Syrian military bases, which means they have acquired many Russian made weapons aswell

ISIS invaded northern Iraq because they knew that the almost 100% Shia Iraqi army was not about to stay and fight the ISIS Salafi Jihadi's in a 85%+ Sunni Arab province. the ISF fled out of self-preservation.

I fail to see why it is in the USA's interest to create a beast which they have to team up with Russia & Iran to defeat?

No it isn't, they are trying to make the connection that Al Qaeda is ISIS:

These jihadist militants from Iraq were part of what national security analysts commonly referred to as Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Remember Al-Qaeda in Iraq was ISIS before it was rebranded.

With the assistance of U.S. and NATO intelligence and air support, the Libyan rebels captured Gaddafi and summarily executed him in the street, all the while enthusiastically chanting "Allah Akbar". For many of those who had bought the official line about how these rebels were freedom fighters aiming to establish a liberal democracy in Libya, this was the beginning of the end of their illusions.

The fact that they chant Allah Akbar means nothing besides they are most likely Muslim. But Muslims are currently fighting Muslims in that region, it doesn't provide any kind of evidence what group they are with.

Assad played a massive role in letting ISIS get to what they are now too you know.

Singling out just the US is niave.

How? Assad was fighting the rebels with his loyalists. He knew ISIS was American sponsored.

If Assad had dealings with western leaders in the past he should've known they can turn on you in a flash. Ask Mubarak and Gaddafi. Heck, even a Saddam was installed with the help of CIA in the 50s.

We are either reckless or destructive. You pick.

Russia and China meddle just as much as America does, and whether you like it or not, America is allied with Jordan, Israel and for some part Saudi (whether or not that relationship is what it seems is another story), not to mention a few others.

Them having no foreign policy in the ME is like burying a head in the sand. Either the world community is connected or it isn't, but it's been loosely connected since the Roman times so I don't see why you'd expect any different now.

You are a very important type of person. And I suspect many on the board are the same. You think it's normal and therefore necessary for powerful people to stay powerful at whatever cost.

You're obviously much more complex than that, but I hope you get my point.

Geesh. There's really no getting to you, huh?

Don't you think that separation announcement is a bit too coincidental? All things considered?

Officer: the store clerk said a blonde guy with a red shirt stole cigarettes.

Suspect: (takes off red shirt). I'm not wearing a red shirt anymore, officer.

You: well, he really isn't wearing a red shirt anymore.

On 14 May 2014, the United States Department of State announced its decision to use "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) as the group's primary name

In late August 2014, a leading Islamic authority Dar al-Ifta al-Misriyyah advised Muslims to stop calling the group "Islamic State" and instead refer to it as "Al-Qaeda Separatists in Iraq and Syria" or "QSIS", due to the militant group's un-Islamic character

Source

They are now officially known outside of their conquered lands as QSIS although the US has officially adopted the acronym ISIL back in May this year and only uses that acronym.

BTW that link has the real story of this group from start till now, even includes their threat to end Putin from yesterday.
Makes this thread out to be highly speculative.

The US teaming up with Russia or Iran? The US including anyone in their spoils of war? The looting of vast oil reserves and the world trade on heroin? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The US isn't teaming up with anyone. It's national debt is cartoonish because it's GDP is sickeningly lower than what it spends to enslave it's own population under socialist and authoritarian mandated agendas. If our tax dollars went to things that mattered, things that made America better, you and I would not be having this conversation.

The fact is, they don't. They go to the militarization of our police force, the NSA so they can record every phone call and text message we send or make so they know the second any group of people have had enough of tyranny. To fight to strip rights to give grants in various tyrannical forms to the states to force them to go along with federal corruption.

Come on man. This isn't conspiracy theory, it's begrudging fact. I want this country to be as great as it once was for the sake of all of us, I'm not saying the things I do because I am sympathetic to islam or because I don't believe in our country. I'm saying them because we have let an out of control and reckless government lead us into the worst position America has ever been in since it's founding.

Russia today?

I know about all that, thanks. What I'm saying is that it's not our problem. We got problems at home to fix.

What did you know of Middle East conflict other than Israel and Palestine before bush sr invaded Iraq the first time?

Exactly. We did this by being there.

ISIS isn't American sponsored, until you understand that, it's pointless in explaining anything else to you.

Much like the error that ISIS is Al Qaeda you've made.

I'm not too big on politics but this really interested me although didn't surprise me, on a slightly different/similar note wars and conflicts have been waged since the beginning of history and will continue to the end of history,I think one day it will be our undoing.

Bingo

This is pure disinformation, the only question remaining if it is intentional or just an exercise of someone's biased views of the world.

Chronic misjudgment? Every single time? You're too kind. It's almost like you birthed American foreign policy.

Also don't forget they have conquered multiple Syrian military bases, which means they have acquired many Russian made weapons aswell

Syrian air strikes would have bombed them the first sign of moving them. Unless you believe ISIS has a air force now to protect their convoys? Stop making things up to support your position.

ISIS invaded northern Iraq because they knew that the almost 100% Shia Iraqi army was not about to stay and fight the ISIS Salafi Jihadi's in a 85%+ Sunni Arab province. the ISF fled out of self-preservation.

Stop making things up. Iraqi at my has three times more soldiers and way better weaponry.

I fail to see why it is in the USA's interest to create a beast which they have to team up with Russia & Iran to defeat?

Now I know you don't know what you're talking about. Team up with Russia and Iran to fight ISIS? The moon would crash down on earth before that happened.
