While I think those members who voted against it should pay a political price by getting thrown out on their asses, disbanding the caucus would be premature and I say.. Hell To The NO! anyone not deaf, blind or being willfully ignorant knows damned well we are not at that color blind post racial America just yet,not while North Carolina just passed the most restrictive voting rights bill since jim crow and more states chomping at the bits to follow suit, if we are gonna disband the Black Caucus then go ahead and disband the Tea party since they do more damage and are more divisive than the caucus ever was.

jim crow?

furgeson took care of that.

do you know what east st. louis is like? no you don't. haven't seen many here that do. so don't feel bad.

i would be more respectful of your opinion if you were a white publican.

Yes, they should chuck the entire Draconian bill, regardless of partisan support. The Democrats are not any more for personal freedom than Republicans, they just disagree on which freedoms they want to get rid of. Maxine Watters is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, and despite the constant ruse of pretentious caring for women, minorities, the environment, indigenous peoples, unaccompanied immigrant children, and the Palestinians, those who are pushing socialism are Statists and want epic controls on society.

I heard a good one the other day.

" The police need military gear, encase of another terrorist attack."

Are we expecting an militant army to march down our streets?

Acually it could happen, depending on whether we finally get control of our borders. Already there are reports of ISIS in Mexico. Still, perhaps it would be better to send the National Guard with military equipment to troubled areas, rather than have the police more armed. To me, trouble is stirred up requiring a reaction. This is called problem/reaction/solution, or otherwise known as Hegelian dialectics.

Tea Party has black people in it too........

The Black Caucus does not, and WILL NOT accept anyone who is not black.....

"Equal rights! we are people too!, Focus on our character not our color!" .... "sorry you cant represent us cause you arent black"

These people voted to perpetuate the militarized police state....

Who keeps racism alive again?

Its time that african american community come to realize that "The Man" thats keeping them down is in their own midst

You hit the nail on the head. The Black Caucus supports the socialist agenda of the Democrat Party and because the Tea Party is against socialism and for capitalism and individual liberty, this is the reason more blacks do not join them. There are black conservatives out there, just few and far between, like Dr. Ben Carson who isn't afraid to stand up for truth and liberty.

I am conflicted on this topic.

On the one hand Americans are rather violent.

Occupy,Ferguson, or any sports game when a favorite team loses to the Madri Gras.

Do the police really over react ?

Or are the a reflection of just want Americans have become ?

Just like the cess pool on Capitol Hill is a reflection of 'we the people'.

When mob mentality takes over.

It is never a pretty sight.

Even more so for the people hired to keep the peace.

I don't think the police needs alot of what they have.

I do think the 'people' need to be armed more than they are.

The military is the 'army' of the state.

The militia is the 'army' of the people.

The police is an 'army' that is suppose to maintain law, and order.

But when it's all said and done.

The congressional black caucus, and the police need to realize that we all bleed the same.

Not there should be any bleeding at all.

Voting as an institution doesn't matter one damn bit. Politicians are chosen. If people can accept the reality of that, then the dissolution of "representative bodies" can finally come out in the open for what they are, frauds.

Hmmm socialist agenda like making sure your walls do not contain lead, your hot dogs are free of amputated fingers and a minimum of rat droppings, your water do not contain benzine, your boss cannot have you come over and paint his house ,wash his car on your day off, your 5yrs old do not have to replace you on your off shift in the coal mines instead of kindergarden, that you do not literally get paid with a loaf of bread some fat back or pork belly, that you do not have to "service " mgmt to get a promotion or a raise, mgmt may not slap you around or have you whipped if your performance is deemed unsatisfactory according to him.

Ben Carson brilliant neurosurgeon, out of his mind when it come to other things, and while I cannot speak for Blacks who are rank and file Tea party members, those that are presented to us in public are TOMS, Aunt Jemimas and Uncle Rukus and it got nothing to do with them as conservatives or Republicans( I like Powell till he f-up! and Charles Barkley do not agree with him on many issues but they ain't no TOM.) these folks are there because Koch $$ industries put them there as mouth pieces to give cover for racist or ignorant White folks who want to say but cannot for fear of being label racist.
And again I am a capitalist I believe in making money but not at any and all cost,my greed is measured what you want is unfettered greed called crony capitalism or laissez-faire capitalism which we had during slavery right up till Upton Sinclair and others in the late 19th to early 20th century..no thank you i'll pass.
