Sorry to disappoint you but by no stretch of the imagination is Obama on the left of politics. Well not compared with the whole of Europe. Centre at best.

The US doesn't truly have a left, certainly not in politics.
Most would be shocked to learn that both parties are well right of center.
conservatives just like to shout " left" "liberal" or "socialism" at anything they disagree with.

No truer words have ever been spoken on this site. I've lived in the US, Canada, and Europe and what Americans consider "left" is so right of center as to be laughable.

Most any bourbon will do for me. I enjoy Jim Beam (beam me up) though I won't turn Jack down.
IMHO, Jack is coarse and over-rated.Beam is just...Beam. I likes me a nasty little shot of Wild Turkey

As to the topic at hand...

(Note that the word "labor" has been spelled in American to avoid confusion and dismay.)

I'm a few days late, but I really wanted to post this. Our country is screwed because people like this think that everyone in America but them should be peasants. Yet they consider themselves patriots for wanting to destroy everyone elses lives.

Right wing launches misguided protest against Labor Day

seattletimes.com...

I gave up after seeing your avatar. Like the smell of an actual turd...it kept me away from whatever point you were trying to make. So just a suggestion for the future...if you wish to be taken as intelligent and concerned, maybe flying the flag of ignorance, bigots and liars isn't the best way to go.

Gee...please explain to a poor ignorant foreigner what your point is. Is that Obama's 'logo'? Does that cause you to dismiss anything that follows? If so...what a small, small world you must occupy if everyone has to agree with you.

My apologies if I've misconstrued you comment. Clarification would be nice.

I see nothing wrong with protesting government labor. Its capitalist labor that drives the economy. If the government wanted to support the workers, they would leave businesses alone.

Only since 1971 when the final nail on capitalism was nailed down did America die. All we have now is the rotting corpse. And its all because America is not capitalist, it is socialist. Or more specifically, it is a mixed economy not too far from the economic decay of Italy, Greece, and Portugal. There is hardly anything more damaging to humankind than socialism.

Good luck with your post. I think we both know it will be resoundingly ignored or ridiculed. Maybe a complimentary article will help further illustrate the real direction this country has been heading in for the past few decades.

America Keeps People Poor On Purpose: A Timeline of Choices We've Made to Increase Inequality

How four decades of lobbying and legislation gave corporations dominion over our economy—and eroded the American middle class.

The 'erosion of the middle class' also includes the erosion of the labor movement.

That is quite the image there and is dead on.
As long as Multinational Corporations and Banks own our government, the majority of the country will continue to suffer.
CEO and Shareholder interests are all that matters in this country anymore. Everyone else is just along for the ride doing what the Government they own tells us to do.
